I have seen both of those(hood and fender treatment available-I think it was on Showcarparts.com-but I haven't been able to get on to verify. ArizonaZ may have sold those molds a while back-I know I have seen them before. Will

Floor pans?
I had gone to do what Enrique did, but had a wee service interruption(wireless connections don't like VW bugs with hopped up ignitions)-but I don't type all that fast either. Will

what should i do sell or trade
You probably stand a better chance of converting a lhd 240z to rhd with the pieces from your 280Z than you do of finding a rhd 240z for what your 280Z 2+2 would sell for. That completely ignores the healthy high involvement work and legalities involved(working out the VIN issue(whether the vin matches the number of seats, or the side that the steeringwheel is on)), and the fact that in either case you will have lost resale value from the original cars. Also your "240" will have a predominantly 280 interior(as seen from the seats). With the early bumpers the car looks pretty damn good in your avitar-how about posting more pictures? Will

Any ideas?
How about posting a picture of the damage... POR15 sells a manifold repair kit that could be used as does Eastwood, a good Heliarch(TIG) welder could probably close it up, and allow you to finish it to match. Will

engine color
To duplicate the original finish with out paint, sand as if to polish but only down to 400 grit, then polish until the finish is uniform, and all sanding marks are gone-not to a mirror, but to a smooth finish. That will be the approximate finish of the inside of the original mold. Will

Side ventilator Hose
epdm closed cell foam is the way to go on the seals, no deteriation from heat, humidity, water or age! I'm using the stuf on the roadster and the Z. What ever you use for the ducts should be insulated(so water won't condense on them as cold air flows through them) and strong enough to stay open with all of the twisting that it will take to install them-You might even find a vinyl or ribbed pvc hose large enough(something similar to what Enrique used for cowl drains-but in a larger diameter. WHich would you rather have(and post why)?
I didnt put a 5 speed auto(as my Dodge 1500 quadcab has) either. What six speed bolts on an L series engine or its bell housing? Will

Side ventilator Hose
Home Depot has suitable replacement for the seals. They probably have a suitable duct material as well, If yours are not torn, you could saturate the paper with rtv, that would add insulation, and flexability to the situation. Will

Anyone here used a Preval sprayer?
Harbor freight sells those, ( http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/itemdisplay/displayItem.do?itemid=94084&CategoryName=&SubCategoryName= ) and an aluminum version ( http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/itemdisplay/displayItem.do?itemid=1102&CategoryName=&SubCategoryName= ) supplied with several interchangeable spraycan type heads in different paterns. I have used the aluminum ones to shoot paint, Mineral Spirits(exactly what the Dr ordered for cleaning out carbs and other small intricate parts that are nasty), laquer thinner, primer, por15, and even water. The straws that come with WD40 fit also fit the spray heads. The aluminum sprayers are inexpensive, and work very well and are charged by your favorate compresor! WIll

WHich would you rather have(and post why)?
You are the first person I have ever heard of using a 4spd when a 5 was available(other than a concorse restoration)-that is why I left the 4spd choice to be handled by the "as the car came" option. Sorry for leaving you out! Will

WHich would you rather have(and post why)?
Which would you rather have, a manual tranny or an auto tranny? Depending on the cars purpose, I can see reasons for both. Personally I would prefer an AOD in my daily driver, and a 5 speed in my fun/fair weather car. A well set up auto can outshift anyone driving a manual, so a car with a well setup auto straightline racing a manual will win every time(everything else being equal). When twisties come

Automatic Transmission
The trannys are interchangeable '72 through '83 with a few '71s thrown in just to confuse things. Some of the '83 280ZX cars came with a lock up torque converter(and a nifty indicator light on the shift plate), but no fourth gear-effectively giving an AOD. The AODs from 84 and some 85 300zx will fit the L series bell bousing and bolt up, but these transmissions were not good pieces-many '84,85 3oos are in the scrapper becuase of auto tranny repair costs Sounds like some Z stealth in Oregon...frito style! - Full aftermarket turbo kit?
I misunderstood your question. Of course you can pay someone else to take care of all the details and set it up for you. I thought your question was could you do it yourself with the four or five parts and a not a complete running assembly. I am 100% certian if you could get Steve to about what it would take for you to do it essentially by yourself, his advice would be to get a complete running car, and not to buy the individual parts-ask him! I saw the badge, and admired it, but with the knowledge that you actually had a set of JDM housings, my juices started flowing...and I proved Pavlov! Early last year I enlarged and printed the old club logo on transparency film with my color laser, and applied that to a translucent license tag which I have a backlight for. It mounts on the front tag mounts(GA does not use two license tags). I must admit your badge is very eyecatching! Will- June 2006
OH,OH, better than sex(Not on a Good day-but damn close otherwise!), you have the jdm combination lights up and working! I am going to have to catch a plane... Will I did catch the angel eyes working with the running lights too-cool! - Full aftermarket turbo kit?
