  1. I've saw a couple of interesting decals on a car at a show this past weekend. One said "Friends don't let friends use Fram" and the other said "Friends don't let friends use Fel-Pro".
  2. 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO. 400 HP, 17-25mpg,.....even if I do get one I'm still keeping my Z.
  3. After re reading this, Arne is likely right. You either have the mismached compenents or worn components. Does the clutch slip?
  4. Try http://www2.zhome.com:81/.
  5. Go to http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html and scroll down to 'Nissan E-FAST and FAST software'.
  6. I said free play adjustment, I menat pedal height adjustment but they tie in with each other:
  7. You know, it could just be the the pedal free play is out of adjustment.
  8. I keep a complete updated copy of each hard drive for each computer we have and important files stored off of the main drive.
  9. What type of material/substance is that you used on the dash?
  10. Is this picture from another of your posts a picture of your engine? If so, are you attempting to run the EFI fuel pump with those triple carbs? Won't work.
  11. Make sure that the vacuum line between the fpr and the manifold is good and that the fpr itself holds vacuum.
  12. If the gauge is hooked up properly, that is, between the fuel filter and the fuel rail, I would rule out any kind of blockage if you're getting 100 psi. I would suspect the fuel pressure regulator. The pressure should be 36.3 according to the FSM.
  13. Like Ben Curtis (Dell dude)?
  14. I'm sure he means that it requires 70 degree temp to install it. In another thread on this subject, we talked about the fact that I had purchased a replacement rear glass a few years back to solve the defroster problem. I recently checked with my source and replacements are no longer available through Nissan.
  15. I did find it. PM me if you're interested.
  16. You can also use the much less expensive GM HEI module on the Nissan L series electronic distributors.
  17. I've seen 79 280ZX's with N47 heads and with P79 heads (junkyard research). My guess is that they phased out what they had leftover as they transitioned to the P79.
  18. I found my spare and measured it and came up with basically the same measurements as did Nigel1943. Mine is a 2+2 flywheel. The outer diameter and number of teeth are the same. Where they are different is in the friction area. 225mm for the standard and 243mm for the 2+2/turbo.
  19. Interesting........
  20. I have shirts that are older than some of you guys:)
  21. According to Palmer's own description, we're talking about the same part. Read the second sentence in the original post. And we're talking about 280Z's. Still don't know it's purpose, however. We may never know!
  22. If you want a dashpot complete with the bracket etc., I think I have one. I kept quite a few small parts from a couple of parts cars I once had. Does your throttle chamber have the two bolt holes for it? I'm pretty sure it would since they used those until they changed to the E12-93 dizzy on the ZXs. In that case it would be an easy bolt on. Let me know and I'll look through my stuff.
  23. You can reaplace those bearings if you can find replacements. I've done that in the past but not recently. Does the advance move freely? As far as the 'putt-putt', how's your compression? Condition of valves? Just guessing at this point since there are so many things that could cause that.
  24. I guess you just want to argue....I don't and I'm done with this.
  25. If that muffller is center/offset you should be able to just have it removed, turned around and remounted.
