  2. Zedd Findings floor pans should be here in a week or so... Sent from Canadia
  3. Good advice! Thank you! Sent from Canadia
  4. Is it possible to straighten it myself on the rotisserie then maybe? Like I said, I have all the measurements in the FSM... When the floors are out, it should be fairly easy to pull and straighten with come-a-longs or a hydraulic ram.
  5. So I should strip the car to the shell, take it to be straightened, THEN do the floor and frame repairs? Don't I risk twisting it when I cut it all apart? Even doing one side at a time? Sent from Canadia
  6. Anyone know the correct length for the driveshaft to be cut between the second generation 5 spd and the r200 diff? I have a 280zx driveshaft with the correct splines, but I realize it may be too long and need to be shortened to fit my 280Z Sent from Canadia
  7. Thanks for the warning Taka as the fender I am getting is from the same stock you got yours. I am also aware that the previous owner mentioned that the car dog tracked when he drove it. I am going to assume some frame issues are there and have it straightened after I finish welding in the floors and frame rails. No point in doing any structural straightening until the welding is done. Sent from Canadia

  10. I still bulk order my wine from the Okanagan, ... I left Peachland in 1976 with my family and moved to Alberta. I moved my own family back to Naramata/Penticton in 1996 and stayed until I joined the military in 2003 and moved back to Edmonton. I served for a while with the British Columbia Dragoons in Kelowna too! I am a vice president of the Edmonton Z Car Club and I am also the Co-Chair of the last four RCEME Car Shows on the Base. Unfortunately, this year is a no-go as the Base leadership has decided not to support another weekend event like last year. I had over 300 cars show up and ran an autocross on the runway and a mobile dyno as well. We raised over $11,000 for the Stollery that day! As for an autocross at Greisbach, I am unaware of that happening....
  11. I'm in Fort Saskatchewan. I am an EO Tech in the Military and work on the Base in Edmonton. I used to live in Naramata though.... man I miss that place! BC born and bred...
  12. Wow! Nice build thread! Looking forward to seeing your car at a local Z car meet this year!
  13. I'm in Fort Saskatchewan. I bought the car in Calgary. Nope! Just frustration at the current exchange rate. I have a lot of purchases coming up, all from the US..... My Canuck Buck is taking a beating! Wow. I assumed they were re-presses but was hoping fitment was better than that. Still, it's better than the fibreglass panel I have that is more than an inch out of line with the rest of the car! Sent from Canadia
  14. very interesting! In for updates and release date
  15. I think so. I had been considering some 40 year old rusted, damaged panels for over $300! Finding brand new ones for under that was very lucky! Check out the web.... Most second hand panels are an arm and a leg... Sent from Canadia
  16. I will definitely inspect the system and hoses upon dissassembly and check for leaks. I will probably keep the system as it is designed too. The only reason I would remove it would be excessive damage or lack of proper replacement parts.
  17. Ordering the floor pans from Zedd Findings this month. I also located a new driver side fender NOS from a local Nissan dealer. $272 Cdn! That's about $58.75 US....
  18. Good info in here.... I will have to reread this again when I start the re-assembly of my car... To keep the evap or not? hmmmmm
  19. I highly recommend a road trip to Canada as a maiden voyage.... I have a garage spot waiting for you! Sent from Canadia
  20. Thanks guys! I feel so much more confident having resources like this available to me. Taka, in no small part your project inspired me as well... I can't wait to see your finished Z soon..... And yeah, I'll text you what I'm looking for. You might have a few things I need! Thanks for the link grannyknot. I will review that in its entirety. Sent from Canadia
  21. Thanks HaZmatt! Your build thread is awesome too! You have no idea how many people you have inspired with your project...! Sent from Canadia
  22. Excellent advice Jim! I had planned on doing just that... but it doesn't hurt to be reminded of it again!
  23. The new garages! Life is good... Sent from Canadia
  24. I have a rotisserie being delivered once the snow is gone too. This is from a fellow Z car enthusiast in town. He built it for his car. https://vimeo.com/118950718 Sent from Canadia
  25. The 280 was last driven in 1997. The PO did an engine rebuild in 1992/93 supposedly. The car was also repaired a few times. The original colour was 240 Green and I will be repainting it as such. Sent from Canadia
