what size is the hole in the floor under the shock tower in the rear hatch on a 76 280

I used the stripper to could not have been more happy with how easy it was.

Would you like to share with us what it is and how to get it? as i am dealing with the same thing.

I found it to be at the hazard switch. not sure why i cleaned it all up but the end of the switch where the turn signals get there power seams to be where the trouble is. is there a fix for this or do you just have to replace the switch?

Ok so i know that this has been gone over lots. but i am stuck the car is almost done but i have no head lights and no turn lights. hold on i will tell you where i am i fixed the combo switch i now have power through the switch wipers work park lights work. hazard lights work. i have no power at the turn switch so no turn lights. power at all the fuses. not sure what i expect just thought i would share my story and see if any one can help.

If so where i did find one place that had two old stock left over. price 85.00 Nissan no longer makes them as far as i know.

I found a picture of the part i was thinking about.

what about the tubes that go through the fire wall for the heater lines? should be easy to reproduce. how many years used the same ones on my 76 they are all but shot and i cant seem to find them any where. one tube is straight and the other one has a 90 bend in it.

Ok so i am needing to replace the u joints on the half shafts. witch ones do i buy nissan has them 76.00 each or 16.00 at advance for the brute force ones? i thought i read here some where that some of the aftermarket ones don't fit right. i have the shaft out and think i will take it somewhere and have them pressed out and the new ones put in. i tried a little last night and had no luck tapping them out.so just need to know witch ones to buy.

Ok so i went the safe route and got the rewinds 15 x 7 with 205/60 15. just did not want to have any fitment trouble would have liked to go bigger and wider sure we will be happy.

ok down to two tire sizes 225/50R15 or 215/60R15 will they both fit stock ride 76 280z? i have looked but cant find anyone with the 215/60. looks to be a little bigger than the stock tires and the 225/50 look to be a little smaller.Help please as i want to order them today.

Ok now that everyone else has asked about there tires and wheels i have to ask about mine. tire size i am looking at is 215/60R15 these are the wheels http://avid1wheels.com/images/avid11_black_front.jpg they have a +12 off set will this work?

older post here has anyone tried the Nissan part on the older Z's? i ordered one today going to try to make it work in a 76.any info would be great.

ok got it started. what i found out was PO had bypassed all of the relays i have a red wire from the ignition to the wire loom on the passenger side. now my question is my pump runs all the time the key is on will this burn the pump up? and now that think about it always has at least the short time i have owned it. looks to be a real nightmare to fix this right and makes me wonder what is or was not working right for the PO to have done this.

thanks so much now to see why my fuel pump has no juice.

I also have two white wires down by the ECU that i am not sure about nothing to hook them up to. and on the ignition switch witch is a new on i have two wires black one with nothing to hook them to i looked in the FSM looks like they may have something to do with the buzzer and door switch .

ok guys got it to turn over it was the connector on the back of the ignition it helps if they are on the right way. but now my fuel pump dose not kick on. i checked the connector under the seat and i have nothing there mind you all of this worked when i took it apart.

it set for about 6 months i put the charger on it and charged it up. what wires around the steering column are you talking about? i think i got them all hooked back up. i will go over everything real close tonight.

I know its kind of a shot in the dark . i will do more checking tonight. i did not have the battery disconnected my bad. i have nothing at this time. i do have the FSM and am looking through it today. wish i could tell you more.

put my dash back in last night. thought i got everything hooked back up but when i turn the key all i get is a click coming from over by the fuse box nothing else. do not here the fuel pump either. what did i not get hooked back up?

With that at home not sure i would ever go out side.
