Well, the coler is white. I used that 75,000 miles oil 10-40.

I changed the oil & fuel filter and day later, the car smokes like crazy. The car didn't smoke at all before. Dirty smoke comes pouring out of the exhaust. I also filled the tank up with 94 octane fuel. The car has been sitting for about 9 months but before it was parked, there was no smoke. The smoke won't stop pouring out until I cut the engine off. I hope the gas I put in didn't foul my system up........Could it be the fuel I put in the tank? Seals? Sensors?:tapemouth

I finally got my Z running again due to a disconnected wire. I changed the oil & went to the gas station yesterday and filled her up with 94 oct. The highest grade that the station offered. I heard that you should use 92 oct but I used the higher oct instead. I think the gas is dirty. I haven't changed the fuel filter yet...Anyway, I drove her about 2 miles and came home to park her. She wasn't picking up like she should but the RPM was moving up & she was sounding like a tornado storm......FAN...about 2000 rpm. When I got home I didn't have the oil dipstick on. I started her up and she struggled to idle around 800 rpm. The fumes were very strong. She cutoff & when I tried to start her back up, she wouldn't.....I'll check the plugs 2mro but does anyone KNOW what the prob could be? As always, when you fix something, something else goes wrong.....

Do the ones you can get from an Auto Store be the same ones and have the same performance like the oves in MSA or VB? I just go my Z running agian today & it sounds like a wind storm when I'm driving.

Hey daddz? I see that you're not to far from me and you have alot of z's. I was wondering if you had parts or a parts car for a 75 280z automatic.

I'm in DC area & we have a Z club her but I don't see them on the road. I'll see some parked but I don't know if they're running or not. I see a 260 everyday around my in-laws house but the guy doesn't want to sell it,.....

Try....www.datsunzclub.com or www.zcar.com. They both have a classified section. The ones that are too high in price are the ones that don't really need much work & are about 99% rust free...What part of the country are you in?

Did you look on ebay.....Do a search for datsun 240z, 260z, or 280z.....

Can a bad AFM prevent your Z from starting/flooding? My plugs aren't soaking wet but smell like gas. These are my 2nd set of plugs. B4 I had the Bosch and now I have the NGK's. I haven't done anything to the AFM yet but wanted to have it looked at before I take it to the Z tech in my area.....The connection is on at the bottom but I haven't been able to examine it THOROUGHLY!
