restore ugly valve cover (mistake to media blast?)
Not that I'm aware of. That's the cover that was on the '77 when I bought it. I thought they were plug wire holders but you're probably right. I have a collection of covers and will look for differences in the morning. Also can post more pics of my blasting that are on my laptop. I don't remember fingerprints, the clear matte blended everything together quite nicely. Screwing it down with a gaskets is/was the most important thing, keeping the particles out of the baffle underneath the valve cover. I'll get you some better pics in the morning, using my phone now. Sorry.

restore ugly valve cover (mistake to media blast?)
That's exactly what I did. Screwed it down with a gasket on a piece of plywood. Bead blasted then sprayed high temp matte clear. Looks fantastic, to me. 8^) Take some 400 grit sandpaper and hit the high spots to make them stand out.

I took mine off and put some screen over the opening, held in place with the metal clamp.- Rubber Hose on gas tank
It's the silver looking on in Mr Arnett' s picture. Above the tailight assembly and it runs across the width of the hatch.- Rubber Hose on gas tank

Okay, I see now. Yes it is a cool name! Philip Eric Xenidis (born March 10, 1966), better known as Phil X- Guitar folks, funniest thing.
Is that supposed to be like Felix, or is his name Phil? Yes I do like him, covering a Hendrix song pretty darn well. I like the way they are making new guitars look worn.- [2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Thank you! That looks good to me and is almost half the cost of the flannel.- visitors
I'm jealous of you guys. My tree cameras are for my neighbors crack head son. Every since I put two up a year or so ago he knows and the batteries are dead now I'm sure. Mission accomplished. I've spent more on surveillance than a months worth of drugs for this pile of dung. I paid a lot for my Stihl equipment.- '77 280 wiper question
Makes me want to buy all those at that junkyard. I could buy a few acres to stack them on. Ebay prices are crazy but caveat emptor.- Fully restored 1975 280Z. Rebello Racing stroker 3.0L. Immaculate condition!

Also are you following the SU dvd or similar or winging it? The needles have to be right height. Also the butterfly flap should be 95% closed at idle.- Startup revs out of control
I'm a very frugal thinking guy so if it were mine I would try and pinch the supply fuel line coming out of the fuel filter to lower the psi before buying new parts. Or make a sharp bend by hand in the supply hose and see what effect that has. You could do that while it's running at high rpms. See if it comes down. Is it the OE mechanical pump off the cam nose or do you have an electric pump.- Guitar folks, funniest thing.

So his visitors were bears. I'm scared to download video even though I trust Sweaty as much as my Dad. Those Alaskan gypsies on TV hate bears, they tear up their shack. Browntown! That sounds like a scat website.- 1997 280z rev fluctuating between 2000-3000 rpms
I don't know about open circuits on the TPS but I bent mine with my fingers to make contact at idle and wide open throttle.
