  1. Here's a very informative thread on 240's evap tanks. Lots of ideas and pictures. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/17542-treating-insideoutside-of-gas-tank-with-por15-products-and-removing-evaporation-tank/
  2. This is a mo betta visualization. Didn't have any food coloring.
  3. Use your imagination but this is close to what you want.
  4. I use a parachute on mine. Kidding,

I was talking to a guy about a 240 I sold and he said deliver to somewhere in Michigan I believe then drive it over the border without a title and all that red tape bullsh**

I apologize for not oohing and awing over that Z! Great looking car, can hardly wait to see more pictures and the story. Welcome to our little Z chat forum, you'll read some good stuff here.

I bought one from Advance Auto, brass 3 row that a ZX full shroud bolts right up with. Big difference in directing all the pull onto the motor. I always use retailmenot.com and get a coupon code for an online discount at Advance, usually at least 25% sometimes 30%. The last one I bought for my 240 was $108. Happy motoring!

This guy has transported a lot of cars up that way. He may know of a good one. @240260280
  9. Here's some Toyota fronts in a kit. He also has vented rotors. https://zcardepot.com/all-products/brakes/front-big-brake-caliper-upgrade-toyota-4-piston-kit https://zcardepot.com/all-products/brakes/front-sport-big-brake-kit-vented-rotor-toyota-caliper I put stock calipers and vented rotors on mine as well as all new rear hardware and aluminum drums. Stops very well.
  10. Google automatically pairs the two when you're logged on both devices. I learned that searching crap on the laptop at work, went straight to the owner's phone. It was all car stuff thankfully. I searched for "how long will a body take to burn up in a bar bq pit" on my home computer. His wife asked me about it. All I had to do was sign out of google on the laptop. Here's a read explaining it all. https://www.geekwire.com/2012/google-feature-shows-pc-searches-mobile-phone/ I think all Android phones have a G-mail account you sign into to get started? Oh how I hate the internet though. I spend all my time closing little video windows, like they don't want us to read anymore. The news crawler on television was the beginning of hell for me.
  11. One of us needs to change to another doctor, those walls are too thin.
  12. On my Zs the right outer tie rod is threaded "right", righty tighty-lefty loosey. The driver's side is backwards threaded, righty loosens- lefty tightens. I personally don't think they're interchangeable but I've been wrong before. No idea on the inners.
  13. Oh no! He changed the color of the STOP sign.
  14. Looks completely different. Now you won't have to wear gloves everytime you grab it.
  15. You will find "surprises", some better than others. I found about $2 worth of change under the seats. At least you could remove the side molding without welding the holes and a paint job, you are way ahead in the game with that Z.
  16. Now it finally runs good and I won't drive it. They'll need to be rebuilt in a year or two (I hope).
  17. I put a rubber plumbing cap over the output and a smaller one on the shifter hole. can't remember the sizes, you'll have to measure but they were just a few dollars. pressure washed it first to knock the big stuff off then covered it with some cheap walmart oven cleaning foam. Pressure washed it again and it came out nice and clean. You could probably use a good hose pipe nozzle and a brush if you don't have a washer.
  18. That's the one. He really doesn't mention different parts and combos, actually he rebuilds an L20 4 cylinder for the book. You can find any info not covered in the book on the wide, wide web if you have a question. But he does get into EFI. The "How to Modify" is the one that has the different parts interchanging and measurements of all the different valves and what not if you're building a Frankenstein motor.
  19. Nice wheels. They are different than what I expected, an optical illusion for a first timer's view.
  20. They look plastic.
  21. Here's a great read on the p79 mod. http://datsunzgarage.com/p79/
  22. With help from people like Mark I've come to realize I like working on mine more than driving it. Fixing problems gives me that sense of accomplishment unlike driving one.
  23. Dump some dry ice and water down in it. Run and hide, wait for big BOOM. No more dents.
  24. Yes good news from Jalex. You say #4 is not interfering with the way it idles. When you disable the rear carb will it continue to idle, very rough but still running? If #4 is dead I don't think it possible to run on two cylinders, #5 & #6 and those are the three that run off the rear carb. I'd swap that plug around and see if it's a bad plug or a dead wire. They run good with fuel don't they.

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but he replied to me in #12 he had to use a Dremel to grind some to get the caps to fit. I have Rewinds and really like them. Love them price wise compared to others that look very similar. I think I read they're lighter too. I know one guy on here runs them on his race car and it seems like he said they were lighter.
