  1. Its a 1973 240Z it has the 72 carbs on it and I just replaced the plugs and wirers about two months ago. Also please note that it only happens when I'm in third gear. Hope that helps a little more.
  2. Maybe one of you guys can help me with this.... When I accelerate hard in third I have some serious hesitation at around 3000rpm's. Once I've broken through the 3000 it goes away. Also this only happens in third(I have a 73 4-speed). If any of you guys might have a guess as to what is causing this to happen I'd love to hear what you may think it is. Thanks.
  3. Were you drunk at the time when you viewed these THINGS?
  4. If I buy two is the third one free?
  5. Looks good! But kill the growth on the hatch.
  6. 10 grand.....
  7. For those of you who are new...There is a LARGE difference in a Z and in a ZX. The easiest way to remember this is a ZX is a Z with something, a turbo, added. And yes there are other differences. Do ya what to know what they are? WELL ASK SOMEONE ELSE CUZ I HAVE A 240 SO I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT A ZX!

  9. I was in my friends 240 with him driving....oh yeah I got a ticket too for 80 bucks. Some BS about being a licenced driver and not trying to stop him. I went to court and said that it was worth the 80 bucks, paid the fine and went on my way.
  10. Just so long as you find something that works. Cause nothing sucks more then when you pull up next to some fine ladys:love: and your car, which is sweet, is making a god awful SCREEEEECTT!

  12. Do you have stock suspension?
  13. I'm thinking about getting some Yokohama 225/50ZR16.:devious: http://www.yokohamatire.com/TireSizes.asp?TireID=2 First question: will this work on my stock suspension or will I need to upgrade and if so to what? Second qustion: need some input on what kind of wheels to get.
  14. I had the problem too. The machanic that I go to when I get in over my head has a 280Z and he told me to get new pads and baby them for the first 50-100 miles. It worked perfect. That is what I suggest you do.
  15. At first glance I only saw the intake, but your right there's an exhaust manifold too.
  16. my friend that got nailed had a V8 in his Z. 185 sounds about right. Ironicly we were trying to figure out the top speed when he got nailed.
  17. WOW! That is way better then the no licence plate ticket!
  18. same friend before he got his licence revoked got a ticket for: 1)speeding in excess 2)exabition of racing 3)reckless driving and this one is best of all 4)no front licence plate
  19. I was doing 132mph in a 25mph zone (residential) and got off with an warning! Another time I was in my friends 240 going down highway 5 and we got pulled over for doing 181mph. He got his licence revoked.
  20. It looks like a shopping cart! But I bet it is fast as hell!
  21. I just set it as my new screen saver:classic:
  22. You should trade in the boyfriend, 5 cats, the dog, gecko, and the fish tank for a brand new 350Z :classic:

For some reason on hot days my tachometer when I start up my car goes all of the way past red line and sits at like 10K rpm's. My engine temp is normal and when I drive it the car works fine but the gauge just sits there. It only does this in hot weather (100F and up). If anyone has an idea why this is happening please share, because I have no idea!
  24. I'm having the same problem that your having. The closest clubs to me are about 3 hours away (Sacramento & Monterey) If any of you guys belong to a club a little more near me PLEASE let me know.
