Rally Z
A combination of uni work and our camera stopped me from taking any pics of them in action, i did see them "parading" throught birdwood, sideways at some points, but our camera has a 1.5 second delay between pointing and pushing and the pic being taken, which i'm yet to be able to fix, and i was too tight to buy the ready taken photos at 5 bucks each

Offset..
One more, sorry to hear about your predicament, but its not over till you start thinking that it is. We had a family friend who was diagnosed, and told to take advantage of the next few months, because that was all he had, three years later, he's still going relatively strong.(the broken back, and crushed sternum weren't from the cancer:))

Last Photo
A sad end for a bog filled car, PS, its hanging from a tree in our backyard, never knew trees were this strong. Sorry about the poor photo quality

Bog/Bondo examples....
What's worse than the bastards who use metal filings is the fact that you can now ever here get bog which contains a steel wool type compound, and is specifically sold for bridging largish body work holes etc. The company should be shot, or at least someone within the company.

Asessing all options, don't suppose you have a full front on shot?

Only In America ...
Either way, the guy with the porsche is still a whole heap better off than this bloke. Ahh Only in America, and maybe a few other small lesser developed coutries.

All unwrapped
At the moment I can't tell you where it was done, as i bought it from a guy installing a 400 Cubic Inch V8 into his z, he had it done, then realised he wanted air cond and thus needed a 260 dash. I'm going back in a couple of weeks to pick up some bits that he said he had lying around but couldn't find so I'll ask him then. As for the price, it cost me $300 Aus

All unwrapped
THis is the Dash all unwrapped. I got lucky (the gauges fit) but apparently there are some dash rebuilding places which just add another layer on top, meaning that you need to do some serious work to make the guages fit.

A Joke - nothing more, nothing less.
You mean a Zed that's spent its whole life surrounded on four sides by salty water? I think not, it'd have more rust than mine

How to spot an R200
I too was told that all Aussie spec 260's 2+2 came out with an R200 rear diff, but i'm still not sure what the hell is lying on my shed floor taking up space.

Cost of a good paint job in Oz?
Been there, seen it and done it and have a shabby car as a result, by all means do the prep work, but for christs sake get someone to put on the top coat. Its not as easy as it looks, and two pac has isocyinates in it (bad).

Cost of a good paint job in Oz?
Its pretty impossible to determine the cost of a decent paint job, but somewhere about 5-7 thousand seems about right for a good 2-pac paint with minor bodywork etc thrown in. However you can buy the 260, but who is to say what's underneath the paint, other than the guy who is trying to offload it. When it comes to shifty paint jobs, its not that hard to cover up rust etc with bog, newspaper etc etc. THe list of potential bodges is amazing, and unless the guy will guarentee the quality, or you can "fix" him at a later date if he was lying, it may be best to steer away from a fresh repeaint. 2000 for a 260 shell seems a bit over the top to me, but i may be wrong.
