WTB rear right hardline
I fully agree on not beating her service. she really goes the extra step to get you what you need and when you need it!

WTB rear right hardline
I guess I didn't think that she carried much brand new stuff. I'm going to have to remember to always check her first for anything!

this is awsome!
I found these to be very familiar 22) you know the whereabouts of all S30 Z's in a three county area and the story behind each one because one day you will own it when the current owner just throws in the towel and buys something else. 26) since 1990 you've owned 35+ Z and ZX cars and the family wonders why you're still single at age 32. 27) you find a random bolt on your driveway and can tell exactly where on your Z its supposed to go. 28) you have three boxes of bolts, nuts, and washer in your garage...all from the Zs that you bought and or parted out to make your one good 240. 30) every time friends see or hear of a Z car for sale they call you because they "thought you might be interested." 37) you can spot a Z in someone's backyard while your just driving by. Usually the car would be under some type of shed or barely visible at all.

Monster Garage
I don't know that I would fault jesse for doing the autozone thing. At this point in his position with all the loot he is raking in from discovery and these commercials he can reapply those earnings into building his business even further. I think I would do the same thing for sure. make your bucks early so in years to come his nestegg will allow him to choose his own path with whatever business goals are. I'd be looking at early retirement for sure the reep in the fruits of his labor. FWIW anyway.....

Monster Garage
these are my annual monday must see tv. I call it mullet monday's if you will. I love watching all of these types of shows. Its about time to give kids dreams of being able to do this. When I was a teenager in highschool we garage monkeys were all frowned upon cause these kinds of professions weren't "college prep" or business related. This may save many mechanical/industrial arts programs in our schools and thats important.

The strut tower vinyl looks to be in good shape....do you have the transtunnel vinyl in good shape? I'd also be interested in the steering wheel.

I am now Z less
Victor, you can choose 10 cd's from me to burn. I can atleast replace some of your music. I hope its okay that everything on this list is live and anything on dat were concerts I have personally recorded. Oh, and I do have a sweet buddy guy from last year. John mayer came out and closed the show with a 30 minute mustang sally where buddy handed his guitar to John while buddy signed autographs in the crowd,. Its fun being part of a concert promotional team. www.phishhook.com/lists/datsun

your family stories
mine just left me as she decided she'd rather date the guitar player of the band I was the archivist for. :devious: Sooooo, with that said, theres now more room in the driveway for my stuff, and there's no limit to how much time, money and effort I put into finishing my car. still sucks though :sleepy:

we are grilling now
I do know it makes a differance on whether the 260 is early or late. Early 260's had the turn signal indicators below in the valance like the 240's. Later 260's were half in and half out of the grill.

'73 240z
I've got to get rid of one, before I obtain another . Currently I am down to three. Early 74 260 76 280 78 280 2+2 However the motor, trans, harness, majority of interior, rear, some body stuff is being transferred to the 76 and then part out the rest. the one thing keeping me from purchasing it though is that you are in TX and I'm in jersey. Theres some safety in mileage!

I cut the battery area completely out of the 76 I am working on and grafted another in from a donor car. Theres pics in my gallery of the repair. Not bad, I still have the final grinding of the welds to take care of as well seal it all up and rustproof it. The scary thing is that my live in GF has since moved out and I am in the house alone with no cap on how many Z cars I can have without getting the business from the woman.

Cable released hatch?

Swapping 280 to a 240
Now that I think about it, a 77 fuel tank will not fit into a 240 tub and it;s not a strap issue. The 77 280 has a collapsable spare tire therefore the tank is thicker tank. The 240 has a full size spare and the tank is thinner where it lies under the spare tire well. Check around carefully as the 70-76 Z cars all had full size spare tirewells so you may be able to interchange one of those years. FWIW Just a thought to research
