  1. But it hurts so good.
  2. A friend about 30 years ago did this with his pickup, worked pretty good.
  3. No ECU. 71 240 JC Whitney, the good ole days, some the stuff in there was just so horrible. Good memories. I figured there was a GPS sensor that could be included with some units, I'm just starting to the search.
  4. Anyone have a good suggestion to what after market cruise control to install? So many on the market. My first concern would be not so intrusive on the dash.
  5. My comment was simply you never know what things will value for in the future. I've sold some really nice 280ZXs over the years that today would sell for $25K, and it wasn't that many years ago. They are really fun cars.
  6. I'm hanging on to mine. When did anyone ever think a 280zx sell for 30K.
  7. Not familiar with his work on them. I was to understand that there were no adjustments to get them tuned correctly. They either ran really good at operating temp, but suffered hard starting, or they ran terrible but was easy to start.
  8. Flat tops, boat anchors. That's what the nomenclature on Z Therapy website is
  9. I like your car, looks like mine.
  10. I've watched so many videos, over and over I might add of these races on YT. They drove these cars with such precision. I especially like the one in Scotland where they flagged down a passerby to "borrow" the transaxle on the side of the road.
  11. It's a nice car, I'm lucky to have it. It waited its entire life for me to drive it, and I do.
  12. I'm a professional pilot flying Boeings, but spent many years as an A&P mechanic on the DC-8 and DC-9s for a couple different airlines. I used to fly DC-9s, which was another fantastic Douglas product. That's one tough airplane to work on, but have fixed many with a Leatherman.
  13. I'm happy to say this car is an unrestored example, other than a respray several years ago. Well documented 50,000 mile car. Sat in storage most of its life.
  14. Never worked in a corporate setting, but I think I've heard my wife who does work in a corporate setting say many times over the years to (Take it offline). Zed tried to by offering a pertinent discussion on the thread "Z's on Bat and other places", but that trial balloon got popped as soon as it was floated. I really enjoy this thread, I really dont want to unsub. I havnt looked, but is there a specific 240z thread discussing the topic at hand, which I think began with someone calling a car a series 1 or something. BTW, I own a 1/71 car, that was one of the last few made in the image of a 1970, I wont dare call it that forbidden name though.
  15. How much for the Astro Van?
  16. Hopefully he parks it in a parking space way out when he takes it to the grocery store to prevent door dings.
  17. Maybe he was the recent billionaire from the powerball. Money would have little value at that point.
  18. What a beautiful car.
  19. Is that the correct shift knob?
  20. I found a barrel nut assortment pack on eBay a while back, had the perfect size for these.
  21. I just sinched up my seatbelt.
  22. "Mainly just needs floors, frame rails, rockers, and rear quarter skins." lol.
  23. Fred and Wilma would be right at home.
  24. I bought a 240 that had Eibach progressive springs on it, one of the worst driving Z's I've ever been in. Looked similar to this car on how it sat. Immediately put it in the air and replaced with stock springs.
