Thanks! The photos were taken at my dad's (Diseazd) The camera is a Canon 40D. I used both the 50mm 1.8 as well as the Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6. The one's my dad attached were using his 40D and a Canon 18-35mm kit lens IIRC.

Luckily the AWD rear output seal is leak free I feel pretty confident that if the brakes haven't had any problems at 81k, then most likely it was already taken care of with a recall etc. Thanks for the tip though. I will keep that in mind in case I notice any issues.

Hope you guys don't mind if I include just my cars too

My dad and I got all out cars together for a shoot this evening. We lined them up by year. The BMW and Volvo are mine of course and then my dad has the 90, 73, 72, 72, 71 & 70.

Newest addition to the garage.
When I was driving behind him on the way home, I was amazed that it really looked like a restored car. It's remarkable that these cars are still out there in this condition. The interior truly is like new. The dash is flawless. Everything looked good underneath when it was in the truck too. I can't be 100% positive but it even looked like no one had jacked the car up using the unibody/frame rails. Walter, Here are some more pix of the V70 R. You should check them out. Great car. The suspension and brakes are insane. I rarely see them and the prices have come way down. You can get a really nice one for $15-17k. This one was $12,500 with 81k but needed a little suspension refreshing and will need a timing belt in the next 5-10k miles. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/72157629891358616/

Gold or Green?
I just logged in and saw that photo on the homepage. I was literally about to link that photo here and tell him that now I see the dilemna That looks terrific and has completely changed my mind on the color (even though I know it's not quite the same. It's nearly impossible to exactly recreate the factory original colors with today's technology anyway) I do still think the OP should stick with the original safari gold just b/c it will be much easier to paint if it's not a total resto.

Gold or Green?
My vote is for Safari Gold. Was never a fan of that metallic green personally and it would be easier to do original color and potentially more valuable for resale if that is ever a consideration. If you do decide to do a change of color, I would advise removing everything from the engine bay and doors etc. It looks terrible when someone opens the hood, doors and hatch and it's a different color than the exterior. Although at least orange (close enough) and green are complimentary colors Just my $.02

Negative Camber
I think the problem is that most of the guys that do this stupid hella flush/stanced/stretched tire crap wear the skinny jeans. It must have something to do with cutting off the circulation to their brains. I am sort of in the age group that a lot of those guys are in and I think it's the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Newest addition to the garage.
Glad we have some quick brick lovers here I just got it 2 weeks ago. 2004 V70 R with 81k miles. Have wanted one forever! It's such a great car. 300hp AWD, Brembo brakes and the most comfortable interior I have ever been in. I had a 94 850 turbo R clone back in 04. I love me some station wagons! Plan on a little drop, painting the 18" pegasus wheels grey, tint, projector headlight retrofit and an IPD grill.

Took some photos of the lime 72
Dropped my dad off to pick up his 72. There was some work done prior to his ownership and a little rust was bubbling around the glass seal. They also didn't remove the rubber to paint so it really needed a re-spray to be 100% like the rest of the car. We had found a clean S30 in a junkyard a while ago which had a nice hatch and used that so he didn't have to remove the existing one. While doing that, he had a rear spoiler installed. It looks great and is a terrific color match. Really completes the car.

How Many Z Drivers Also Own BMWs?
Yup. Almost 2 years ago. I can honestly say I really don't miss it too much. And at the price I got, I would still sell it today if I had to do it over again. One day I wouldn't mind getting another but would probably get a wagon. I am obsessed with wagons. E39 touring, Volvo 850 T5-R, 510, VW squarebacks, etc. I want them all Arne, Love that E21 323! Dual exhaust I assume you did that yourself? Looks factory.

How Many Z Drivers Also Own BMWs?
Some sweet E34's in here I don't have a Z and sold my 510 but here is my 92 E34 525 with turbo M52/S52 cams, 5 speed and 6 piston wilwoods. BTW, I am also five&dime on bf.c Just made 350 RWHP and 344 ft lbs of torque at 15 lbs running low 10's on the AFR. New tune will be here this week. Hoping for 375+ at the wheels. Faster than an E39 M5. From the dyno comparison b/t my car and a 2010 M6, I am making more torque across the board and more power until the M6 hits 6k RPM IMO, BMW's do not suffer from poor reliability but the owners failure to do regular maintenance. A BMW is not a car you just drive until the wheels fall off like the old Datsuns/Nissans. The cooling systems seem to be the weakest link. I think the rule of thumb for a non M BMW is about $1k-1500 per year and for an M, it jumps to about $2500-3k (lots of variables of course). In regards to poor leather quality, they make several different grades.. I also personally think the 2002-2003 E39 M5 is the best car BMW ever made. Although I do love the new F10 BMW's. The E60's are starting to grow on me as well. Never cared much for the 3 series but I do like the E30 and E36 best. It does suck that the E36 M3 (US spec) is the only M car that didn't come with ITB's. And yes I know my rears need spacers. The front ACS wheels are real and the rears are reps. I plan on getting real 9.5" rears to replace the reps one of these days.

Very impressive. Post the sheet so we can see your torque curve!

Are All Datsuns Going Up In Value?
All collector cars are going up in value. The prices of BMW M5's bottomed about 6-8 months ago and have gone way up since.

510 2dr for sale
People can ask all they want... In the picture, you can't tell if it's worth it or not. If the rockers and fender arches are rotted then hell no. If there is minimal rust then it's a steal. Need to scrape all the crap off of it and see what's lurking underneath. Even if rotted out, you would be surprised how much a car like that is worth in parts alone. I netted about $1300 off parts from a completely rusted out 2 door shell with no motor or trans. Given, I got the car for free. The owner just wanted it gone asap. I had a towtruck there within an hour

Did you get the 510 from Pete or from David? Or is this David?
