EBay, there are also local clubs in OKC and Tulsa, and I think there used to be one in St Louis too. Every now and then one will pop up in their classifieds section.

Boys and their toys, but that's a seriously nice track.
  3. Same story I heard...can't remember if it was Nissan or Mr K but that's the one, Z is the end all to all.

I've definitely thought over the Toyota brake upgrade, never thought about a better cam, and am on the opposite side of the country from Tracy California. The hits keep on coming.

For the vehicle in the signature, what would you recommend for a $500 parts budget to increase the horsepower but stay with the SUs. I'm dreaming of Christmas and need some ideas. (I've already got a header and a 2-1/4 inch exhaust too.) I've thought about biting the bullet and going with a ZTherapy rebuild but that is on the upper end of what I'm willing to spend right now so I'm looking for some other ideas to mull over.

You could list it on the classifieds here, on zcar.com and on hybridz.org. There are also some clubs in Florida that might be interested if you can't keep it but could get it there.
  9. Just read on the hybridz site that the car got vandalized by some teenage criminal element. There are a few more folks that think it is possessed.
  10. Seems a shame to destroy your creation because you failed to do what was necessary to make it a success. I say take the shell, do a rebuild learning from the first Pinks, and go back to try and win.
  11. maybe the bad karma is in the Hybridz build team and not the car?

There's a great book on word etymology(?) by a guy named Bill Bryson called Made in America if your more curious about how the language came to be what we know today.

Just another opportunity to watch grown men act like children. I like to see the cars and watch things break. Once they're done with the Hybridz team, I'll likely be done watching PINKS.

Outstanding, thanks for the info...I'll pull the throttle back on my zinc now that I know I'm not losing my mind.

So where does Greg race out of? isn't that car the one Eddie radatz built/helped build a couple of years ago? I could swear I've seen that car at his garage before.

  19. from the looks of the cars and the weather, I'm thinking I should have been there instead of in Middle GA.

My ST is yellow, although the one on the front is white?
  21. Of all things what I wanted to replace the pump I had wasn't driven by what I wanted its replacement to be, but what O'Reilly was able to get their hands on in short order. I got some kind of Carter pump, very quiet, don't know what kind of volume it pumps but was enough to get it off the street and into the garage. Now I just have to figure out how to mount the thing on the wheel well. The guy had a Holley blue too, looked like something off of my Dodge Cummins, offered it to me as an alternative.
  22. There's a single wire powering the existing pump, will it wire right up to the Holley pump?

Wish I could have used that on my ex.
  24. The MSA electronic fuel pump I bought to solve vapor lock problems in Wyoming in 1990 has finally given up the ghost...I think. I used to hear it throbbing away when I switched the ignition on and I don't hear that anymore and the car obviously is idle and won't run. I'm assuming that the pump is toast or the harness piece the power wire was run off of is toast. I bought the pump from MSA in '91 and wanted to replace it faster than waiting for MSA to send a new one. What can I tell the parts guy at the desk at O'Reilly or NAPA in terms of finding a suitable replacement?
