  1. Sure i will, just didn't think about it, if you look at the -73 you will see that the arm that the dog bone that runs paralell to the fire wall is on the lower part of the riser, that makes the dog bone sit in a angle of 10 -15 degrees, now on the photo esprist posted, the arm in on the upper part of the riser witch will have the dog bone in a horisontal position, hope this make sense.Chris
  2. Lon, that is exactly what i was looking for and can now conclude that there is nothing wrong with my setup, just another -73 only item. Chris
  3. Kind of, but actually the other end of the dog bone at the right.Chris
  4. Thanks Esprist, now try to look at the upper arm on the first piece of your linkage and then look at the one from my car, they are different. Anyone with a -73 ? Chris
  5. And before you preformed that search, you didn't read my post. Firewall linkage photos, like this attachment. Chris

  12. Yes it is There is a little retainer spring, lock spring, what ever on the end furtherst away from the valves, take that off and then you can force the follower up wit a big screwdrive and to the side, hope this makes sense. Chris
  13. Just take off the rocker arms, it's pretty easy, use a big screwdriver and remember to put them back on in the same order as you remove them. Chris

  20. Look behind your tach, check if you have a 3 or 4 wire, that will tell you, also do your intake have all that EGR stuff and flat top carbs ?.Chris
  21. Blitz21, look at Steves signature, XenonS30, go there and download a FSM, download a 240z and a 260Z manual, you will need the 260Z, being the -73 is a odd mix (depends on the build date), i have never seen a -73 wiring diagram for a model with 3 wire tach. Chris
  22. Do not start that engine before you have changed the oil and oil filter !!!......
  23. Your backyard mechanic is somehow right, the wear on your engine is equal on all cylinders, try to add a squirt of oil in to the cylinders and make a new compression test, if the numbers goes up, you have worn rings, there is much more in to this, more than i will try to explain in another native than my own, others might want to chime in. Chris
  24. Have you confirmed you have spark ?, if so i bet you have messed up your timing, it happens all the time. Chris
