I screwed UP!
Curious... How in the hell did you cut the bushings out without burning the rubber out first???

Almost fell off my chair!!! At first I was about to tell you that capacitor stuffing is the purest way of getting classic radios fixed. Then I noticed its a 2.2mF in a 6.8mF can... HAH!!!!

This is their website. http://www.interior-innovations.com/default.aspx I'm going to send them some sample butterscotch as they haven't done that color yet.

You might want to test fit a set. A review talks about them being to long and wide. I trimmed mine length wise and pounded them in as described by the reviewer. The ride is real nice with the urethane (and an RT mount on the differential)... http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=7.1101 Someone will have a spare crossmember. Transmissions swaps usually come with a "free" one. I checked the one that come with my 5 speed and it is likely a pickup truck crossmember

Removing Air Tubes From Manifold ?
The POR-20 looks almost identical to the color of the steal when it comes out of the sand blaster, so I guess its a bare steal look. You have to cure the paint so I popped it in the oven when the wife was out running errands, then ran a self clean cycle... "Hey honey, I cleaned the oven!"

Looks like the transmission mount bushings, not engine. What year is your car? Aftermarket part... Urethane Transmission Mount Busshings from zstore

MSA Fusebox
I pushed the fuse connectors out of the plastic, soldered the rivets to the fuse holder part and reinstalled. This mod keeps the part cool.

My Datsun Spirit L28 Build.
When I bring Nissan parts to my plating shop, they tell me that the plating is Gold Zinc, not Cadmium. Not sure what is correct. They put gold zinc on my parts and it looks great.

Gold or Green?
Green is in the center of our visible spectrum and we can detect more shades of green than any other color. It would be seriously cool at a Z meet to put total resto Green Z's together to see all the variations that were made. I personally love the avocado but can understand why some don't care for it. Would love to see a total resto'd clear coated leaf green. GlamourClear makes almost any color really pop.

Gold or Green?
Thanks. It was a snapshot too. Didn't know how good a shot it was till I put it on my big monitor. Hit the gallery link and then click the shot to get the hi-rez view.

GlamourClear on 113 Avocado Green
Thanks! So glad the pixel limits on the site were increased Mike. This photo was just a snapshot (albeit with a decent lens). When I saw it on a big monitor it looked better than in person.

Going to USGP!
We should definitely do a Z meetup Wednesday or Thursday prior to the race. I'm in for 15 seasons of formula eww.

Gold or Green?
The Silver and Green paints from the 70's went bad pretty quickly. Modern paint formulations of the classic Nissan paint codes with GlamourClear on them are all stunning. Your dad's car which you masterfully photographed for instance. The 113 green is real similar to a Chip Foose paint formulation. This a shot of mine in the paint both last November (113 Green)... Biggest problem with the leaf and avocado greens is the cars become invisible in Texas and you get run off the road quite a bit. Gallery Link

Silvering/Aluminizing instead of Chrome
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. Won't go this direction...

Silvering/Aluminizing instead of Chrome
Did you clear coat them? Absolute must for silver is to keep the air out of it.

Silvering/Aluminizing instead of Chrome
Saw a few videos on youtube that caught my eye. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lG6O5lvhm8 www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqDqKzzq4ZQ I'm pretty sure the first video is mirror silvering even though they call it paint on their web site. Might be an interesting technique for restoring tail light frames, ventilation ducts and the like. You would need to put a real good clear coat on it to keep air out of it. Wonder if a valve cover finish done with silvering would hold up. Anyone tried this kind of approach. Results look fantastic, but since its silver, it could tarnish. MirraChrome looks to be similar but aluminum instead of silver and recommends lots of top coat as well. It applies more like self etching paint. Both are expensive... http://angelgilding.com/A1114.html http://www.alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirra_price.htm (Latest bling cars are totally mirrachrome'd)

transvers link stop bolt
Looks like how the pros do it (leave spindle alone until you do the bushings). Even with a gas strut, I put oil into the assembly to keep rust out of the strut tube. They will rust inside... On a side note, only one of your jacks match your Z's paint color...
