  3. Isn't that Mustard Yellow?
  4. There was a Nappy Tan I thought there would've been Nappy Black, but then again some of my white friends claim there hair gets nappy too, mainly chiks though, you know how they are about thier hair. Yellow ? ? ? ? Nappy ? ? ? ? I don't see the connection betwen knoted hair and the color yellow :cheeky: ~Z~
  5. Still got Vibrartions on mine even after having alignment done because right front tread is seperating, drifts to the right. Other than that my steering is way more responsive but a little harder to turn now ~_^
  6. Good point. My list is only 3 parts deep. Only thing is everytime I fix something something else breaks. Right now I'm on round Three :nervous:

My mistake It was more of a joke than fact, I always heard bad things like Macco was cheap and not the "Best" and was 1 year only paint. That and the only prices I heard were from the $200 to paint the whole car commercials. Didn't know they did other kinds of paint though besides those commercials so I learned something new today. My Z buddy Trav, who does all his own work and also paints Chevells and stuff, said I can expect at least $1600 alone on meterials and paint. And that was with a discount.
  8. DANG BRO, what you got, a check list :rambo:

Nope, But gutting the car and giving it a complete paint job does give it authenticity I think ( depending on how the inspiration car was painted ) A pic of the car your thinking of copying would be nice I read in one of my Car Craft mags sometime ago that theres a paint, or lower grade of, thats made for race cars which is supposedly cheaper than that Concours stuff. Well the article was about how to paint your car at home, if I remember right, and was saying to ask yourself what was the purpose of your car befor you decide to paint. Is it for show, street daily driver or race. This determined what grade quality and price of paint you should use basically sayin race cars should use the stuff that is good quality but not wallet breaking. It would make sense considering all the fender benders and paint swapping that occours. Lose the Bondo and whatever you do DON'T GO TO MACCO
  10. OHHH OHHHHHH OHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHH........... I hearby Officialy name this Z as HEAP 'O Tha Week #3 :dead: with all appropriate honors  Congradulations, your Rust Remover should arrive in the mail shortly.... good luck ~_^
  11. Whats a Poker Run?
  12. Macho Man Randy Savage stands besides you and says, "Ohhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhh...."
  13. THYANX FRANK How about clutch disc though, do they have to match up with the flywheel type being used?
  14. I got my '77 280Z Ruby running for two days recently and noticed when I got to 3,000 RPM the engine RPM's would jump and rev freely as if I had the clutch in while on the gas. Slowing down to 2'800 RPM the car would begin to pull like normal, but when I try to go past 3 grand again in 2nd gear, the feeling of torque goes away and the engine revs again. Went to the Tranny shop and the Trans Mech put the car in reverse, backed halfway out the parking space, stopped, went to 1st gear and skooted back up and said, "Yeah, your clutch is gone. I don't even need to test drive it". He was mainly refering to the clutch disc as having no grip left. Well with that being said I need to buy a new clutch (disc) and most likely Flywheel too. I'm looking at getting a 9 pound Chromemoly Light Wieght Flywheel and like to know what clutch will be good for this kind of flyhweel as I hear the stock clutch is not good with this set up. Heres a photo of the Flywheel although I don't know who makes it yet. ~Z~
  15. He's just in love with those wire wheels
  16. O.K., I ran my own comression test on my 1977 280Z L28 with a N42 Block and N47 head with clogged #6 FI Port. Engine was at operating temperature and my compression came up as this. Is this good or bad? Clyinder/ PSI 1- 150psi 2- 150 3- 150 4- 189 5- 152 6- 150 With teaspoon of oil. Clyinder/ PSI 1- 190psi 2- 180 3- 180 4- 170 5- 180 6- 180 ~Z~
  17. I think " Somebody's " mad Your really Lit about that ain't you...?
  18. I tried to translate into Nihongo and came up with this, appearently I can't get "the" to translate. Zを愛してください。 Please Love Z
  19. Nice "Z" ! Looks like you went with the BIGFOOT monster truck logo style from the 80's, with the shimmering Silver and stuff :rambo: ~Z~
  20. Ditto, and add a plus sign to that too :rambo:
  21. Oh yeah, '77 and '78 Z's came with carpet only and not the Diamond Vinyl or grid pattern as you call it. And no 1969 through 1978 Z came with T-tops from the Factory except for the the few made in San Diego (some one correct me if I'm wrong here) Heres a link for more info on the T-tops. http://zhome.com/History/240Accessory.htm ~Z~
  22. Keep Her, Nuff said. My '77 needs a new Cylinder head cause of clogged number 6 Fuel Injector port. I paid $2,000 for my Z too and the mechanic said to bring my engine back to spec with a head work and valve job would be about $700'is. So as long as my Piston Rings are good thats about a $2,700 dollor Z, maybe yours would be about the same If body wise your Z is OK then your good with only needing Engine work because Body work I hear is REALLY EXPENSIVE :tapemouth Oh yeah, WLECOME TO THA CLUB ~Z~
  23. I wouldn't proceed to knock him, but for 30 thousond I can build MY Dream Z And it will be way more cooler than this IMO (after all it is my dream :cheeky: ). There is a lot of body mods done to this one and he tells you he's not in it for the money in the listing. "I am selling because I have 5 cars and this was a passion project. I also have a small son and expecting another child and don't want to spend the time away from family at all day car shows. I won all the awards I was hoping to achieve and there is nothing left to do on the car. You don't build a car like this if you are on a budget and I don't need the money, so please don't waste anyone's time by sending me low ball offers thinking I am desperate for cash. The cost to replace this vehicle is $55k or more plus it would take almost 2 years of time and a great deal of patience. I will sell to the first person with $45k and or the best offer over $40k by the end of 2007 This 240z belongs in a collection or museum, or a very discriminating enthusiast" See, so all in all it's just a if it goes it goes deal. If you like Red and got the Bread then this could be in your bed. But personally I prefer Blue... Or Ruby ~Z~
  24. Yeah I saw that too. Did a "Datsun" search and had to skip like 10 pages (at 100 items a page) to get past those peoples stuff Sooooo Manyyyyyyyyyy Parts .... ~Z~
  25. Cheap...., Try 6 Grand for New Old Stock in Japan :tapemouth ~Z~
