  1. Holy Shite! You are a lucky man sir! That coulda been a helluva lot nastier!
  2. Not a fan of the 305, or as I call it, the "boat anchor". Beandip hit it right on the head. Depends on what you wanna do and how many dead presidents you are willing to part with. My personal thoughts, go with the L engine and build her up. Camaro's are a dime a dozen and there ain't nothing like a Z!
  3. Here's one I threw together. Datsun.doc
  4. Thanks for the input guys! My 72 is at the body shop now getting masked and painted. She's being entered in a local amateur car show on the 26th and I thought having something like a window sticker in it would be cool! I had the original sticker on my 1st Z, a 73, but it left with the car. I had kicked around the idea of creating my own as well from a bad photocopy on the pc, but a professional looking reproduction sounded that much better!
  5. I guess nobody knows???
  6. Does anybody know any where I can get a reproduction print of a 240Z's original window sticker for my 72? I've found several services for Chevrolet, but none for Nissan/Datsun.

I've liked everything that I have bought from MSA. The majority of the things I buy come from MSA. I bought the carpet from Too Intense because it was the same thing, but $30.00 cheaper.

Bought my set from Too Intense Restoration. Pretty happy with mine. http://www.datsunrestore.com/catalog.html
  9. Again Arne...is there anything you don't know? And yes, it does sound reasonable.
  10. I'm interested in that non-working clock. Put it together with mine and I've got matching book ends.
  11. Oh come on Arne. You're telling me you found a 240Z with a non-working clock? That never happens!
  12. Worth is in the eye of the beholder. If you want something, just how bad you want it will determine how much you are willing to pay for it. These cars are love affairs for many people. I'm one of them. Each time after I come home from driving my Z, I look at my wife and say; "that car makes me smile." My car is worth ever penny I paid for it!
  13. Seventy two here too. Diamonds are forever. The last great Bond film.
  14. How are the prices at Courtesy Arne? The one thing I did look at was cheaper elsewhere.
  15. I had a similar problem, but it was with Z carpet. He said the distributor sent him the wrong part and then that it was on back order. I now always look at the feedback before buying. I even contact the negative folks to get the whole story. caZeat emptor
  16. What Steve said. Blackdragon is a good source for parts but they definately aren't Zientists. Z Motorsport on the other hand has a great selection of parts and everybody there knows what the hell they are talking about. When I ordered something from Z Motorsport that was out of stock, they called me back within an hour to apologize. I've never had a bad experience with either. As for Ebay, I've gotten a few bad, nonworking parts off of the auction. Becareful of the wording "worked great when I took it off the car." You see, they never said it would be working by the time you got it!
  17. Yikes! I've thought about it. Glad it hasn't happened to me!
  18. Just put 215/60 R14's on mine with the 14" alumium slots.
  19. Has anybody seen these or does anybody have one? I thought they looked pretty cool for an aftermarket. Would like your input. http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=194
  20. Better man than I. As Virto said, If I had the time, space, money and equipment it would be cool to do. I'd just hate to see how bad my first paint job looked. Maybe I could practice on my daughter's Schwinn? !
  21. Power of the crank my brother, power of the crank!
