Just venting
Gave him half. Told me it would be done the first week of November. Just in time to put her in storage for the winter.

Blower motor doesn't turn on.
Have the same think Mark (Honda blower, new switch, doesn't work). Thinking about actually paying someone to trace it down later this winter or early spring.

Visited my little friend and much to my joy, he was getting close! He had shot it and had some cracks in the paint when it dried. He showed me the spot immediately and said he screwed up and used the wrong stuff and was planning on getting it redone soon. As mentioned earlier, as soon as she's back, I'll post pics.

Transporting my Z
If you have the time Troubled, rent a flat bed trailer from U-Haul and bring her home yourself. You'll of course need a vehicle capable of towing, but your only expenses will be gas, time and the trailer rental. That is how I brought mine home. Got the neighbor to go with me and we made a road trip out of it. If I remember correctly the trailer was only like $49.00 for a weekend. Beer and gas for the Tahoe was a bit more, ! Congrats on your purchase. Post up some pics when you get her. Love the Cobra too! What's she hiding under that skirt?

I don't really care for short myself. Thanks man! I actually asked about 215/60 R14's and the local guy at Tire Barn said "ah, no".

350,000 Yen? That's like six bucks right? I do dig the Mach 5 "M" pattern though. I bet Trixie is wet as we speak!

DGV or Holley 4B conversion
Thanks again Arne. I'll do that. OT what size 14" are you running on your Z? I just finished cleaning up an old set of 14 x 7 aluminium slots and need to get some new shoes if you will. If I recall, aren't you an ole' tire guy? I was thinking about Sumitomo 195/60R14's all around.

DGV or Holley 4B conversion
I'd really like to find someone around Indianapolis who'd at least look at my SU's and tune them professionally. I guess that would make me feel better. Thanks for the advice guys. That's a quick $900 I don't need to spend. ! Oh, and thanks for the engine compliment! Spent a lot of time on that.

DGV or Holley 4B conversion
Stayed pretty stock. Upgraded plugs, wires, points, rotor, distrib, dist cap, wiring harnesses, new alternator. I'd like to get a little more reliable performance out of the fuel system. The SU's and I don't seem to be getting along.

DGV or Holley 4B conversion
Looking for opinions here. Thinking about doing a carb conversion on my 72. I know the purists want me to stick with the sidedrafts, and that is still a possibility. But I would like to get your opinion as to these conversion. Thanks for any and all info!

Just venting
Just venting to you guys, because most of you would probably understand. Got my 72 240Z and spent the last several months rebuilding the engine, working on the interior and doing a little body. When I got her I was surprised at the condition of the body. Except for a few little dings and my daughter's bike slamming into the driver's door the body was straight. Minimal rust even in the problem areas. By word of mouth I found a guy locally that does great work and has done several show cars and he agreed to do the clean up bodywork, final prep and paint on my Z. I dropped her off on July the 17th and told him specifically that I wanted to enter my Z in a car show in Indianapolis on the 26th of August and he said no problem. Well, the 26th came and went. When I spoke with him about it he just told me that he had work backed up and that he'd get to it. I talked with several people out at the show and they all agreed that a Z would have definately stood out amongst the muscle cars and that I would have at least won best in class. Hell the guy that ran the show told me to go get my car and bring it unpainted. Sorry to run on, but I needed to vent and I thought you'd understand. I'm told I'll have my car in two weeks.
