I've about given up trying to find these screws. I can't understand why Nissan would use a non-standard fastener for these covers.

At least they labeled them as special. You could retap to a normal size.

Have you tried Fastenal? I see M3 x 0.5 pitch pan head machine screws on the Canadian site. For M3, 0.5 is the standard pitch.
