I have an early 1974 260, with a missing hinge cover.  I found this item in the Motorsport catalog, but it says only fits 72 and 73.  They look very much like the one cover I now have.  I emailed the vendor, and they replied the part numbers are different, so it may not fit.  Does have any experience on this?

carpartsmanual shows that the change is at Jul/Aug 73.  So, they might be right.

Well, they look the same, but of course that doesn't mean they would fit.  There may just be a difference in finish, but not how they attach.  Hoping someone might have some to look at and compare.

I thought of that. Still hoping for some firsthand knowledge before taking the chance of it not fitting.

Those same ones fit my 7/73 240Z fine, for what it’s worth.

I'm missing my drivers side and found this laying under the seat. It fit. My car was built 12/71

Obviously very different, but I can't find exactly when the change occurred. I have seen those available in a few places also.  The 73 model looks like my 74.

The early style sold by Motorsport won't fit. How do I know? Those are my recliner mechanism covers!! I would like to be able to offer the later style but haven't come up with a sample to reverse engineer from.
