The ZX vacuum cans are different from the 280Z units.

Zed Head, are you talking actual size of the "can" or function?

I going to see if I kept my old vacuum can from my 77 distributor and see if it fits in the 80 unit.

Awesome, thanks!

The round part that fits in to the distributor is smaller and the arm is a different length.  If I recall right.  Always worth double checking.

I did still have a vac can for a 77 280 that is defective. Going to die sect it some day.

I installed it in the 80 dizzy with no problem. Same goes with the new one, 81 maxima, and it fit.

My mistake.  I might have been thinking of breaker plates.

Did you check that the arm attaches to the same spot on the breaker plate?

There is only one difference, minor one. The vac inlet port is on top now where the 280 inlet is on the bottom side of the can. Get some extra vac line just in case. I didn't need any but.....

Yes it does. With the same screw also.

It's also attached to the dizzy body the same way as well.

Chasincats, I'd go for it. They only have one left.

And my advance numbers are the same as it was with the 77 vac can and dizzy. Around 35 deg. Which is whats it been for a very long time.
