November 26, 20195 yr comment_588304 Can you confirm the precise diameter for this hose is 5/16"? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/57121-size-fuel-line-replacement/?&page=3#findComment-588304 Share on other sites
November 26, 20195 yr comment_588305 As I said earlier in this thread... "If this is the return line from the fuel rail I used 3/16 as I stated in the prior post. The supply side (where the stock fuel filter is) is 5/16" It's 5/16 supply and 3/16 return back at the tank also. I refer specifically to this one that is breaking and is installed to the input of the airtex 8012s elecric fuel pump before the filter as shown. Asides from this i will need a list of each and every fuel hose for the complete 1972 240z. I am travelling to miami and would like to source locally. Add the lengths and round up to the next foot. Cut the new hose to fit and replace any suspect clamps with new ones. What's the possibility that you have the lines on the fuel rail reversed?Seems like if these were inadvertently reversed it would cause all kinds of engine run problems. What kind of problems? The end of the return of the fuel rail is restricted so there is some back pressure on the supply side to the carbs. If the lines were reversed that back pressure won't be there to feed the carbs.
