Do you know, if i change the rear msa muffler alone with your jdm 2pipe, what the difference is?(i have a Vibrant in the middle)

Good news that you have a centre box.

Firstly, you'd need to know if your existing pipe will slot into the muffler entry which is 67mm in diameter to accept a 63mm (2.5") diameter exhaust line.

Supposing it's now on, the exhaust will sound deeper and with a clearer note. If you'd like it poetically, it'll sound more like a wild-cat than a woulded elk.

No, i have a 2.5 inch so this would fit.

Now it does sound nicely deep but i used to have an ansa dual i can not use anymore (i dont want to loose to much power with my nice Engine) and i love the dual look...

Why do you think your Ansa lost you power ?

A lonnnggg time ago, I had a twice-pipes system from MSA. No centre box of course and just the twin, long 'cherry-bomb' ''mufflers'' but it was so loud ! The Ansa isn't far from this design so both will be noisier than my JDM which has a single, large expansion box (380mm long and 150mm in diameter).

The ansa system has a center muffler, 2 cherry bombs and is a small pipe. I took it off when I disassembled the car 30 years ago and putt it in my garage.

When I restored the car 2014-2016 I did not try it, because I read everywhere I need a 2.5 inch system incl manifold. (my Engine is not OEM. I kept the Original Manifold but upgraded the system)

I guess the advantage of the Ansa system is that it has TUV approval ?

sean, i've just measured the spare z3m coupe centre section i've got(cat section), pipe work is quite massive.

What seems to be wrong is that the American importer for the system doesn't fully clarify what the system will fit and doesn't make reference to the newer system that offers a better fit and better performance V's the older system.
