Throttle Jerk Fix -- Universal throttle cable

Featured Replies

I finally posted a write up and pictures of my throttle linkage replacement with a Mr Gasket universal cable. The results are great, and the key was the throttle arm that I was able to source from speedway motors. Enjoy!

Nice stuff! It will help a lot of people.

You should also post in technical articles. It is great!

Nice work Dave, I did a Lokar cable when the SU's were in, and I was happy with it.

Very smooth.

A throttle cable drop in/plug and play unit could be a profitable product if someone was to do the foot work. The smoothness of a cable compared to the Mechano set

linkage that most of us still use would be very convincing.

Thanks for all of the compliments! It means a lot especially coming from the Z-guru Blue! I still reference his tips all the time.

So it's not just me with the horrible throttle modulation off of idle? I've only driven my Z around the block, but I swear if it were wet out, the tires would be spinning every time I hit the gas from a stop. Nice job, I may have to look into this!!
