1973 Datsun Z40

Super mega rare. I'd pay like a million made up dollars for that.

I think that Z40 falls somewhere between the Z28 Camaro and the new ZXX Ferrari. A rare find for anyone who has been searching for a Z40!

They trade in a razor thin market. I've actually yet to meet anyone who is actively seeking a Z40

They never show up on ebay.

I'd always assumed they were just a myth, some factory 1-off or 5-off and not a real vehicle.

If you ever get a chance to talk to any of the old timers at the factory, they'll speak with reverence about the legendary "Zed-Quatro-Zero" project from the early 1970s. You won't find pictures of it in any of the Nissan/Datsun historical books because of the hush hush nature of the project. I had heard that all of them had been destroyed after the project folded, but it appears at least one left hand drive example made its way to the States.
