The Antenna Motor on my 83' 280zx coupe is noisy. I can't imagine that it was that loud when new. Is there a way to lubricate or tune up the motor that raises and lowers this?

You could try not moving it so much. If you don't move it it will not sound so loud.

turn up the radio when you move it

The antenna unit is pretty easy to remove and disassemble. Odds are you need to re-grease the drive mechanism. If I recall correctly, you only have to remove three screws on the antenna assembly, once you've removed it, of course.
