1972 gas tank in a 1971 240Z?

I'm in need of a new gas tank for my 1971 240Z. There is one listed on Craig's list described as being from a 1972-73 240Z. I have not been able to find any information that says that it wouldn't fit. Is this correct?

it should fit fine. I believe they were all about the same on the s-30's. For sure the carby versions are the same.

You should consider bookmarking the parts fiche in my signature links. According to that, there is only 1 fuel tank for the 240Zs.

The fuel tank for the L24 is listed as Part#12201-E4100 it is listed as being applicable for all two seater Z cars thu August of 1974.
