The rear bumper is completely flat. No overiders. Is that something stock for japanese Z´s?

The over-riders and rub strips were optional in Japan. The standard bumpers were plain chrome.

I prefer the overriders, but dislike black strips...

Though either are preferable to black overriders :)

Thanks. I had a feeling it was something like that. The Z looks a lot cleaner/sportier that way. IMO

To clarify - the bumpers with rubber edging were standard equipment on 'Luxury' / 'DX' models in Japan, and the plain non-rubbered bumpers were standard on the 'Standard' / 'DS' models.

Over-riders were an extra-cost catalogue option in the Japanese market.
