Is this the next Z?

Featured Replies

man, i wish this http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1717671 is the next Z since everybody's doing the 'retro' style look to the new cars(mustang, charger, mini cooper, etc). so what do u guys think? i really like it but there's a little too much going on with the front bumper, other than that i think its awesome.

...it looks light, but it also looks really cheap and rehashed. The 350Z looks much better.

This is more like an uglified Z in kit car form. Glad it's just speculative rendering (though I get tired of speculative renderings, especially in auto mags/sites...)

I DO like the tail end treatment a bit more than the rest, reminds me of the retro Lambo Miura concept from a couple years back...

Yeah, that has shown up in a couple of threads before. I don't much care for it even though a couple of aspects look interesting. Any thought of a mass produced retro 240Z is just that....a thought.

I approve... looks a bit too much like the old ones IMHO, but then again the Z has a timeless look to it, so I can see why a lot of it would be verbatim and still be passable.

Looks like what the Z could have evolved into had it been a Porsche. Regardless of the year, a 911 is easily identifiable as a 911. IMO, with regards to the Z series, Nissan lost its bearings in 1984 and has never regained them. The 350Z may be a fine car in its own right, however from a styling standpoint, its no successor to the 240.
