Rear anti-sway bar brackets - where to find?

I recently came across a rear anti-sway bar that I'd like to put on my 72 Z. I just got a set of end links with bushings, so now all I need are the two brackets and bolts that attach the bar to the frame. Anybody know where I could find these? Would it be a Nissan 260z/280z part? I hate to go to the dealer for these unless I have a part number, they just scratch their heads when it comes to old Z parts. Thank you in advance...

There are 2 different rear sway bars. One attaches in front of the diff and uses the brackets that are built into the frame on later Z's. I'm thinking my old 72 did not have these brackets, but that car met it's end 10+ years ago, so I might not be remembering accurately. If yours doesn't have the brackets on the frame, you might have to weld an appropriate bracket on.

The other style mounts behind the diff and uses new uprights in back to attach the brackets to. Suspension Techniques sells that kind of bar, but I don't know whether it is possible to just buy the uprights and the straps to hold the bushings. You'd also need the bushings for the center of the bar to get everything finished up, and to get those bushings you'll need to know the diameter of the bar.

I have attached a picture of a sway bar like mine. It goes in front of the diff. The two brackets (and bushings) I need are in the pic attached to the bar. It may be aftermarket, I have no idea. Any help apreciated...

You may be better off going with a setup like this... But if you really want to use what you have then I'd suggest welding brackets to the frame before drilling into it as one of the the posts below advise.

You'll probably have to fabricate the brackets yourself or get a machine shop/welding shop to fab them for you. Good Luck...

FYI... You do not want to drill into your frame rails on your Z. The sway bar mounting points have captive nuts inside of the frame rail. You do not want to drill through the rail either, as you will crush the rail when you tighten the bracket bolts.
