"New" wheels

Featured Replies

One of my datsun's previous owners painted the wheels silver which looked ok for a while. While doing a toyota brake upgrade I noticed some chrome under the paint. Decided to soak the rims with aeresol paint remover and there were beautiful, new chrome rims underneath. I'm not huge on chrome rims but I'm liking the look on the z. Just like to share my excitement with you guys.

they look nice man, all you need is a tasty hub cap with a Z logo on it!:knockedou

who paints over good chrome? I guess that is kinda like lifting up ugly carpet and finding hardwood floors underneath.

those look good on there.

Wow, what a bonus. If your taking comments from the peanut gallery, I vote for removing the door ding guard strip down the sides and go back to a chrome front bumper!

Or finish it all in black-black door ding guards, black the rear bumper...

The door ding guards are a good thing, after all...unless you like dings.

The factory painted over good chrome on the stock wheel covers.

I'm open to gallery comments... The front bumper is fiberglass and I kinda like the black (except that it doesnt match the rear) I dont like the look of the door guards at all but I'm afraid there are attachment holes in the doors. Are these double sided taped on or the old 'poke a hole in 'em' style from the factory. Thanks for all the compliments guys.

I think those loooook Sic !

Has the old Mopar Dodge Demon, Cuda look :)

I would leave the center caps off like Dodge did and maybe get a

center ball for the rear rims to match the fronts.

That way you would have a simple and clean matching

look on all 4 rims.

If you need an idea where to get ball caps pick up a copy of

Mopar Monthly and see their advertisments for a company or

2 that sells vintage Repro rims for muscle cars, I'm pretty sure they

could hook you up with what you would need :)

Not that it's a bad Idea but every one does have Z center caps :)

(including me :cheeky: )

^i agree, i think they look uber nice w/o the center caps.

but looks hawt! if you want a chrome front bumper, i'd be willing to do you a favor and trade over ;)
