Featured Replies

OK, a date has been set so I wanted to pass it on so people could set the time aside.

Date: Saturday October 7, 2006

Venue: Central Florida Fair Grounds at the #7 pavillion on the pic below

Activities: Main event will be car show on Saturday, other activities for Friday night and Sunday will be announced soon along with agenda.

So pencil it on your calendars.

Thanks for posting this, Gus. Good talking to you last night!

This is the "mark your calendars" notice. More will develop next week, like registration, accomodations, etc. But we are go for launch. Florida Z-Fest 2006 in preparation for the 20th annual ZCCA International Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida, 2007.

Stay tuned!

I am making plans to be there-though maybe in my sons' roadster and not a Z...

This is a last years picture...

Hey, that's around the time of year we take our semi-annual jaunt to visit the Parents/In-Laws/Take the kids to Disney...it's possible I can make this.

We'll see - awaiting details.

I'm planning to be there. I'll probably leave the Florida Panhandle on Friday morning and head out along I-10. I hope to see you guys there.

The pieces are begining to fall into place in our hastily assembled plan. We think we can get 100 cars under 50,000 square feet of roof along with a great deal of outside space to work with. Here is the first parking plan.

The building overlooks a lake, providing a real nice setting for having your car photographed and an arrangement has been made with a photographer to shoot cars and make prints on location. I am going up to Tampa this morning to talk to a guy about bringing his dyno to the event. Our dealer / sponsor, Reed Motors, will be asked to set up a display of current Nissan vehicles - especially their "Bottom Line" sales campaign. Their will be exhibits for cleaning and polishing, "clear-bra" protection applications, and Datsun / Nissan apparel for the fashion minded. Several seminars are planned for topics concerning car show judging and club sponsorship activities.

More news from the developing event plan. On-line registration is now open at www.flza.com and we are moving forward with that software.

Ellis AutoworkZ of Tampa www.ellisautoworkz.com will be conducting a Dyno exhibition with their new Dyno Dynamics http://www.dyno.com.au/ I watched the machine in action last Saturday. It provides a color printout in graph form of horsepower, torque and fuel / air ratio.
