Hello from Kansas :)

I am new here and just wanted to say hi to everyone. Good to be here! I don't have a Z yet but I am in the market for a 240Z. Not really sure where to start looking though :(

Well you have come to the right place , for when you do find your Z . As for where to look , I don't know how many you will find in your area . But here in Oregon they still show up on Craig's list from time to time . 240s are becoming fewer and fewer every day . I was just at a ''bone yard '' yesterday and found 5 Z but all were either 280s or ZXs . It seems that even the 240s with sever damage are being picked up as parts cars and don't make it to the ''yards'' . California and Arizona and New Mexico seem to be areas to have a look at . Good luck in your quest . Gary

I wouldn't discount your local auto trader magazine, old barns or e-bay.

Welcome, and have fun!

yeah there definately a lot of 280Z's and 240Z,s and 260Z's from time to time. Welcome to the club!

Another thought would be to start checking the classifieds of large city newspapers, that is, if you want to travel some distance to pick up your discovery. I just did a quick check of the Atlanta paper (Atlanta is semi-near me, so I peek in there) and found several affordable examples.

Just an idea.

Howdy and welcome. I searched for no less than 3 years for an orange 72 240z and finally found mine in Southern California via http://ww2.collectorcartraderonline.com/ . And if you find one a good distance from you, I used http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ . I was pleased with their service and it only ran $670 for Southern California to Charleston, South Carolina... litterally across the country. Good luck on your search and do plenty of research here on the site.

EBay, there are also local clubs in OKC and Tulsa, and I think there used to be one in St Louis too. Every now and then one will pop up in their classifieds section.

Welcome, I recently joined as well, but I have my Z. I looked for about 9 months before I found a decent '73 in my own backyard, Colorado Springs.

Good luck on your search, and try everything these guys mentioned, I did even before I joined, but it works.
