id rather put the 50k towards a early 1970 z and restore it back to absolute mint and original condition than buy some weird arse thing. That is no longer a Z

This car has evidentally had a makeover after the initial "customisation" was done to it. Either that, or Evil had a few Z's done up...

Here is a link to an article from a book my brother found at an old booksale and I scanned today because I thought some would be interested. It shows the process the modifiers took in detail and has a lot of progress pictures. Good to know he didn't ruin a mint 240 - it probably would be in a wrecker's yard somewhere if he didn't choose it... and for this reason, I like the car. :)

Thanks for the scanned photos you made available, Lachlan. Now I see what Carl looked like 'before' silver hair. He told me about this project a couple of times, but he didn't get into the details that this article covered. I'll send this on to his son (also an accomplished customizer).
