Want to paint wheels...

Featured Replies

I have been wanting some really nice wheels for a long time, but they are just too expensive! I would like to know around how much money it will be to powdercoat the 15" wheels I have already. Nobody around my town does this sort of thing, that is when I turn to my trusted friends here. Thanks.

Try a Racing shop that builds dirt cars or whatever. They do alot of powder coating. They might do it for you to.

If you call some of the custom motorcycle places most will give you a local powder coater they use , and usually they are pretty good.

I have looked into powdercoating and I got one qoute from a wheel shop. For prep, powdercoat, and clearcoat it would be 175USD per wheel. I am looking around at other places. I want to powder coat them as it will last a lot longer than paint, but I am not about to spend 700USD on my set of wheels to get it done. I will call around and post here if I come up with some reasonable quotes. Keep us posted with your progress Brian.

Good luck,

Ben

I can do them for $300 plus shipping, but I get a super discount on DHL, so shipping wouldn't be that much. I'm in atlanta area

Hotlanta, huh. That is a 6 hour drive from me. I'll have to draw them up and send you a PM.

By the way, Very nice job on those wheels. The top pic is what I am looking for, but with a polished lip.

I don't do polishing, but if you get the lips polished first, I can color coat the centers then clear the entire wheel so it never needs polishing again, or just leave the polished part uncoated.
