Posted August 18, 200519 yr comment_134601 I have been wanting some really nice wheels for a long time, but they are just too expensive! I would like to know around how much money it will be to powdercoat the 15" wheels I have already. Nobody around my town does this sort of thing, that is when I turn to my trusted friends here. Thanks.http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=16781&cat=500&page=1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16940-want-to-paint-wheels/ Share on other sites
August 18, 200519 yr comment_134610 Try a Racing shop that builds dirt cars or whatever. They do alot of powder coating. They might do it for you to. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16940-want-to-paint-wheels/#findComment-134610 Share on other sites
August 18, 200519 yr comment_134653 If you call some of the custom motorcycle places most will give you a local powder coater they use , and usually they are pretty good. August 18, 200519 yr comment_134659 I have looked into powdercoating and I got one qoute from a wheel shop. For prep, powdercoat, and clearcoat it would be 175USD per wheel. I am looking around at other places. I want to powder coat them as it will last a lot longer than paint, but I am not about to spend 700USD on my set of wheels to get it done. I will call around and post here if I come up with some reasonable quotes. Keep us posted with your progress Brian. Good luck,Ben Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16940-want-to-paint-wheels/#findComment-134659 Share on other sites

August 18, 200519 yr Author comment_134687 Hotlanta, huh. That is a 6 hour drive from me. I'll have to draw them up and send you a PM.By the way, Very nice job on those wheels. The top pic is what I am looking for, but with a polished lip. August 19, 200519 yr comment_134755 I don't do polishing, but if you get the lips polished first, I can color coat the centers then clear the entire wheel so it never needs polishing again, or just leave the polished part uncoated.
