Car didn't meet reserve. I live about 2.5 hrs. from the car so I called about it. I placed a deposit to hold the car till I look and drive her. He wanted $12.5K and we settled on $11.8 and this includes a brand new in the box factory dash and the old steering wheel/pad. We'll see.....

Yes, I like the pictures. I like the general looks of the car. I agree with the price range. I would look at the car with the intention of buying it. There would have to be something seriously wrong to change my mind and it doesn't look like the pictures reveal anything like that. Nice looking car.

Let me revise buy pointing out that the engine has the smog hardware removed and the air cleaners need some....err....attention. But doesn't change my opinion, though. How does it drive?

I'll know Friday!

Yea it looks pretty good. The guy has done a bunch of work after buying the car. It sat in storage for many years. Thus the low miles. He was/is a Nissan mech and still works for his Dad's Nissan dealership in Bristol. He specializes in the Datsun 2000 roadster but followed this car and was finally able to buy it. Seems to be a straight shooter. He has redone all the things I had to have done on the '78 like tie rods, hoses, weatherstripping, seats, fuel tank, fuel lines, master cylinder, brakes & brake lines, Tokico HP shocks, Eibach springs, wheels & tires etc. He has over $4600 dollars in new parts receipts and did the labor himself. Most of the parts are Nissan because he gets them cheaper. He paid around $10K for the car.

I asked about the air cleaner. He said the previous owner has individual filters on the car. The filter there now is a K & N. Wonder if a full air cleaner is in order? Car has a header & 2.5" exhaust. Anyone ever seen a filter layout like this?
