FYI- GTO stands for 'The Great One."

I am told by a GTO owner that it stands for "Grand Touring Operations". Back in the '60s Pontiac saw all the LeMans cars using "GT" and didn't want to have just another "GT" badge on their brand.

hey i got a story about a gto you might want to here about.

when dad was in highschool there was this kid just bought a 66 gto.

one day him and a buddy were driving and got cought speeding.

he ran and ended up hitting the side of a tractor trailer rig.

they found the engine 1/2 mile away from the wreck.

i know this doesnt sound possible but its true.

heres one. who founded datsun motors? and what year
