Okay- My saga continues in the bushings replacement process. A few questions to throw out there. First, I just did the upper bushings of the rear control arms took it out for a drive and now my rear end squeaks like a new shoe. I saw in a past posting that the bushings should be greased which I did on the inner sleeve but not the outside of the bushing. Did I miss the boat here? I didn't grease the outside as I figured I would collect dirt and debris like a magnet. Second, I did not replace the lower bushings in the rear control arm as they were in pretty good shape. Other factors considered were that they are pretty small bushings and I didn't have the tools to do…

Ok, I just bought this beautiful Nardi steering wheel but cant seem to get the stock wheel off of my 240z. I went and bought a wheel puller but the diameter of whole on the puller is too small to fit on the bolt on the car. I looked at one other puller and it is the same size. Can anyone tell me where to buy a wheel puller that will work on my Z. I am dying to install this Nardi!!

As great as a stock 240 handles, how good is it's suspension? Is it built for performance or just daily driving? Are there any components that an all original owner might consider replacing/updating? By all original I mean restored to original stock.

I've just bought a DR-30 RS-X Turbo Skyline & the R-200 LSD doesn't. I've currently got the back gover off & there are no metal partices in the housing, so I'm assuming it's just worn out & needs new clutch packs. The question is, standard breakaway is 45ft/lb & infomation that I have says that more breakaway is desirable. Should I get it tightened up, and if so, how much? The car will be a daily driver, but since the diff needs re-building anyway, I'd rather get this right now & not have to pull it out again in 6 months time.

Shortening Struts Submitted by, John Coffey Moss Micro, Inc. jcoffey@mossmicro.com http://www.mossmicro.com As a result of my parts for sale post I've received a few questions about shortening struts. The best description of he "why's and how's" was sent to me back in 1996 by Wayne Burstein: ---------------------------------------- Let's start by defining the task at hand. We want to lower the car in order to lower the center of gravity. I'll skip all the analysis on why we want to do this because there are lots of good books on the subject, and confine my comments to what you might run into in performing this on a Z. First I need to define a couple of terms: Bump -- sus…

I got the new Motorsport Auto Auto News the other day. On page 18 they list a new "Performance Camber kit" for the front and rear. They are listed at $99.95 for a pair. "...our camber kit is a direct bolt-in allowing simple camber changes while requiring no sheet metal modification. Allows for 1.5 degrees of camber change. Maintains original ride height in Z's built up to 8/74...." At some later point down the road, I'd like to lower my Z a little, no more than an inch. I've heard/been told that lowering affects your camber, hence the need for adjustment. If this little gadget works, then it would make things a lot easier. Question: Has anybody heard/seen/used or …
