  1. Well NISSAN anyway. For all that didn't watch or didn't care it was truly a good event. Mazda ran strong for several hours remaining in the top 3 for several hours. CADDY looked good also. Its a shame that all of the prototypes that race under IMSA sanctioning are not competitive under WEC sanctioning. I would really enjoy seeing them ccompete at Le Sarthe. My little one watched the entire race practically. He even drew a pretty good rendition of the track with chalk on our driveway purely from memory. That is a TRUE racer! Turn 17 (the final turn) proved to be very challenging the entire race long. Two cars were out in the first 45 minutes one, being a Ferrari, ended up on it's roof! Good stuff. Now the boys and myself await the mid-June classic from France. THANK GOODNESS FOR BIG SCREEN TV'S
  2. For those of you who haven't seen this on Youtube.
  3. Found this today. Thought I'd share.
  4. Hey Fellow Z folks, One last post before we go to Daytona. The car is ready to go, finally. We test this coming Saturday for one last time, September 19th. Qualifying for the big race begins on Monday September 21 and runs through Thursday. The racing begins on Friday the 25th with the first of SCCA's 24 classes. There are over 600 cars registered for Daytona with drivers from across the country. There will be a big Spec Miata race run under the lights on Friday which should be very fun to watch. Racing will continue all day Saturday and Sunday. My race is Sunday afternoon around 2PM. All racing including qualifying can be watched live on the 'race monitor' app. I recommend this app. Otherwise you can go to SCCA.com and search for the live timing and scoring. I will try and post a link to the live feed to watch the race on TV. We are paddocked on Lake Loyd in spaces 65-68. Please come by and say Hi if you can make it out. Hope to see you at the track! Greg Ira 2013 SCCA National Champion 240Z
  5. Hey Folks, Just a quick note that we're preparing the 2013 National Championship EProd car for its last season of full blown competition before it gets relegated to the Vintage ranks. Our racing starts up hard in January in Florida, so anyone down here at the time please make sure to come out. January 9 weekend at Homestead and the following weekend in Sebring. This year is special in that the SCCA has announced the National Championship Runoffs to be in Daytona. So, that's a first for this Florida boy that that particular race is within 3 days driving. We'll have a huge contingent in 2015 at Daytona including my brother who won the STL National Championship at Laguna Seca this year! Special thanks to Silvermine and John Washington with Ztrix for their help. Funny enough, I offered Arizona Z some free advertising on the car and he wasn't interested. Oh well.... All the best! Greg Ira
  6. Found this entry in ClassicCars.com: http://classiccars.com/listings/view/669200/1970-datsun-240z-for-sale-in-santa-monica-california-90405 The racing history included is extensive and worth the read.
  7. I wanted to take a quick minute to introduce our newest sponsor, Rebello Racing. I've worked with these guys in the past and even have one of their engines in my own car! I only like to work with good and reputable companies, and Rebello Racing is certainly one that I'm excited to promote. Let's give them a warm welcome. Don't forget to mention your membership at the Classic Zcar Club and you'll get the red-carpet treatment! (I'm sure they give that to everyone, but, hey we do have some clout!!) Click on their banner at the top/bottom of the website or you can click the following link to jump directly to their website. Don't forget to use our banners/links because that tells Dave and his crew how many people are visiting his site: http://www.classiczcars.com/banners.php?op=click&bannerid=42 If you're in the market for an engine rebuild, or performance parts, give Dave and his crew a shot at the job !
