Swapping to f54/p90
More interesting long forgotten stuff in boxes. Recieved from motorsport in 2009. Seems to be perfect.

Jeff im using the block and head. Turbo seems complicated beyond my needs. A few little mods will pump her up around 30%. This is enough work for me. ?

Oil filter adapter removal
F54 block has this adapter sticking out The side. Can this just be removed and the filter installed as per the regular manner (straight to the block)? It unscrews, however the filter fastener is in the adapter knuckle.

Swapping to f54/p90
Hey Guy, we’re on the same page on the head. Had it done years ago, brought it home from the machine shop and got lost in some other project. It sat in the garage wrapped in cellophane on a wood crate until yesterday. Anyway, back in the game. Fuel is one of the main issues. Cooling is the another, not sure if the old rad will do and there is nt really a standard for the hoses. All in good time, no panic. Ill have a look through your threads see what i can find.

Swapping to f54/p90
Good day ladies and gentlemen, i havent logged in for a long time, but i think thats going to change to being the guy you're sick of hearing from. Im way up north in Newfoundland and i have a 73 that i tucked away in the back of my shed / garage 10 years ago and forgot about. Just retired-a couple of years ago and after clocking 100k miles on my bike im thinking of a more practical hobby. Long story short, I have a rebuilt f54/p90 modified with compression pumped up, ready to go carbureted. Most of the go fast gear sitting in boxes ready to be bolted on but not everything im going to maintain her as a typical Z. Appearance wise other than engine and pipes. at this stage im dismantling and scratching my head. Engine is out and the car looks pretty good. Trying to figure how much is transferable to the replacement engine. Thoughts and experience pointers welcome. If you know obvious considerations, please throw them out here for me to ponder. ill stick in a few pictures of the state of affairs.

Replacing tires, perelli P4
I am looking for new tires and have done a quick search online. The Perelli P4 seems ok, it's not fancy, not expensive and I can get it in 195 70 14 size. It's review ratings at tire rack are in the 80% range. Anyone familiar? Can anyone recommend a better reasonably priced tire? SB

Got the new tires on yesterday! BF Goodrich Radial T/A content...
Moldings look better than dings. I like Zs lowered an inch or so. Tires I can't find the TAs around here anymore. I have a set on the 280 that I installed in 07, they look good, but didn't wear as nicely as I hoped. 15000 miles - need replacing - to be fair, I didn't spare them.

A few before and after photos of the 240...
Beautiful!
