  2. I think a C/R around 8 or 8.5:1 would definately help with driveability off boost. A T3/T4 Hybrid would be good also to keep lag down. Also im sure you know things like BOV's help reduce lag.

ok best way to tell is the position of the oil filler plug on the side will be on the left hand side or passenger side of the car. The main problem with the K box is the ratios there not ideal especially for racing. Other than that there's nothing really wrong with them. I don't know how by turning the crank he knew the only other way to tell is with the box out you check turns at the shaft compared with those at the back of the box. I sold mine to Alfa so maybe he can confirm the oil filler plug location. :cheeky:

el bastardo . I thought u were serious too.
  7. I really enjoyed that care to share the specs of your car both in terms of motor and suspension. Looks like it handles on rails .

used to be that way down here too but now they obviously feel it's too unimportant for a boy in blue to be doing. Did you hear about the scam with the speed cameras they've had here in Vic. Apparently one involved a Datsun 120y being clocked at 150km/h when the owner said the car isn't even capable of going that fast they drove it and i think it did a little over 105km/h top speed . They've had to do alot of testing as they were booking people for speeding when they weren't. There has been alot of anger here in Melb over the fixed cameras as they have been seen as revenue making cameras not road safety cameras especially in there sneaky positions.

Ok so when they talk about drilling do they mean the strut brace to accomododate for the Z or do they mean drilling into the top of the struts on the Z? If I have to drill into the 240z body I'm not interested. Otherwise it's still damn cheap even after shipping to Australia and changing currency. Should see what ridiculous prices there asking for this equipment in Australia. For a commodore let alone a ZROFL

I just love it. I have thought of parking directly infront of one and pretending I didn't know what was going on. I don't think they could do anything except move because there not even police officers there contractors .

That's a very good point but unfortunately in Australia we can't get a 280zx Turbo from a junk yard. Although turbo is a tempting idea. I must say. However you can reach nearly 300HP with the stock SU's so we will see when the time comes.

Yes well i've never used 7 have you used 6 before? I can get alright results but they just looked much more impressive.
  21. indeed i define a ricer by someone who's basically all show no go. It would be a bit hypocritical to say that japanese cars are crap when we all adore and drive one.

Wow what program are you using to do that? I've been using Adobe photoshop 6 but nothing ever looks that good.
  23. I can completely understand the point your getting at Alfadog. It's not like i hate these people who do these things to their car I just like making a bit of fun of them. I'm not old only 21 so there's no what my parents did i'm doing now. Rather i'm more or less sick of seeing a lancer coupe with boring mag wheels and alteza lights on it. With a windscreen sticker , Yes maybe i do feel i'm superior in my Z but who here can deny they haven't? Look these guys obviously do have the money and work hard but money can't buy everything and 1 thing is obvious everytime i open the magazine HOT4's is that money don't buy taste . So maybe i am a little harsh and maybe I should be a little more tolerant afterall I don't know everything and maybe sometimes I think i do. However I do try not to be stereotypical and as Rusty was saying about the guy with the carbon fibre bonnet. I guess it's more a case of what floats your boat and ricers don't float my boat. I love it when i see a mustang in mint condition or any other muscle car of the day as usually they don't have the fart cans or huge jet fighter rear wings.
  24. Ahh Hello new member thanks for the offer but i took care of the clutch 2months or so ago. I ended up going with A PBR RPM clutch with hardened teeth and heavy duty clutch plate. I also installed a lighter flywheel and have been fairly happy with the current set up. Once again thanks.
