New exhaust system & Im not that happy!
Saro, Tim's shop is not cheap, so, I know you paid good hard american benjemins for their work. Also, Tim's rep is important to him. The stock and trade of Hot Rod shops is their reputation. He WANTS you to answer the question: "That sounds awesome! Where'd ya have it done?" with, "Morse Muffler in Burbank".

New exhaust system & Im not that happy!
Talk to Tim, Saro. I'll bet he'll adjust it. Does it sound that much different from mine? (also his work). I saw a truck come in with a compliant about the tone, and watched them dive it back on the rack. P.S. - Does this mean your car is Running? Allright!!! the reward for your long hard work! Another Z in Victor's hood.

Classic Japanese Car Show Oct 1 in Long Beach
It was a great show. I think people will have fond memories of this show for some time. I just got off the phone with Mrs. Yamaguchi. She called me with thanks for my help. I told her that what I did was so little compared to their labors and that everyone I've spoken to was so happy with the way the day the had and the cars they'd seen. She was really happy to hear that. During the show, they were so busy that they had very little opertunity to really see how things were going. After they had returned the rental equipment last night, they found that they were too tired to walk, too tired to even talk. She said that she would update the japaneseclassiccarshow.com site soon (not today please!) with a list of the award winners and photos. It was nice seeing you Ben! I'm the one who ended up sunburned beyond recognition!

de-smogging a stock american 1974 260z?
Keep the vapor stuff and the PCV, no harm in those. Getting a dizzy with a lower intial timming doesn't hurt and helps.

de-smogging a stock american 1974 260z?
Carefull with that axe Eugene..... You are exempt from manditory annual inspection. Removing or defeating smog devices is still unlawfull and prohibts your car from operation. But...... 99 percent of the smog air pumps out there no longer work and actually hurts your cars performance which increases your pollution emmisions. So, That's where most start in their engine clean-up efforts.

The infamous Sakura Wheels to be reproduced?
Yes. "Sakura" means "Cherry Blossom" a significant japanese iconic image. They are truely Cherry blossom shaped, and were pink in color. However, It looks to me that they aren't keeping that color. Brouse through Japanese S30 web sites and you'll find photos of these wheels on Z cars. They are rare and much saught after there.

Thank you Rick. You summed up my feelings over most of what I've been hearing since this happened.

The infamous Sakura Wheels to be reproduced?
I've been following this thread on the club4ag.com site for a while. I think it may interest a few of you hard core JDM old school (original f'n school) fans. http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=&whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=117456 Whatta ya think. Will it get off the ground? If they did make them, would anyone buy them? How about my question. Would reproducing them lessen their legendary status?

Info needed about my 71 Fairlady Z
Your photo shows a Hitachi built "Round Top" 4 screw SU, concurent with your 1971 build date. A few moths later, it would have been fitted with the "3 screw" models.
