  5. wash & waxed-clean & vacuum inside the zed last week. topped off fuel and stablized. today changed the oil- ready to put up fot the winter. is it possible to remove oil filter without spilling oil? also removed the spare tire as it's original and not useful. i figured why carry the xtra weight. i xpect to turn over 100K next summer.
  6. it's been a titch windy today and yesterday around these parts. yesterday was the lowest barometeric reading ever recorded in north america. worse storm since the edmund fitz sank. found this on the beach near my place ( lake erie)

  10. you wanna mess with the kid?? spotted this today on a road trip.
  11. around these parts i'd say 8 to 10 grand. interior looks clean, original paint and no rust. engine bay looks clean. slap a set of roundtops on and it's good to go.
  12. well, let us know how fast your zed will go on the autobahn. also post some pics when u get the time.

  15. the black dragon catalog they list rear wheel cylinder 240 70-72 and 240- 280 73-76 if i order from them will i get the right one?
  16. the brakes in my 72 zed need repair. the other day all of a sudden i pushed on the brake pedal and i had to press all the way to the floor and the car slowed down. first thought are the rear wheel cylinders. i recall there are two different cylinders, an early and late for the 240. is that correct. my build date is 10/72.
  17. odd...... i have the ebay used car ( for the 240z) auction in my favorite and this auction doesn't appear. i wounder why that is?
  18. i was hoping some pics would be posted by now. don't forget to take your camera. wish i was there.
  19. my clunk was solved by replacing the mount insulator assembly. it's a metal mount with a rubber bushing attached. over time the rubber deteriorates. if u have a black dragon catalog it's part # 62-625 (#26 illustration) not saying it will fix your clunk but u can try.
  20. that's what i thought. there is also a plug in the pocket itself. another drain plug? what were the japaness designers thinking......we north americans were going to drive into the lakes often?
  21. here are some pics. what is the plug up top? what are the wires on the passenger side?
  22. not sure if i'm looking at this right- but how come the driver side looks to be mounted vertical and the passenger side is mounted horizontal? shouldn't they both be mounted horizontal only mirrored? know what i mean?
  23. i'll check my pockets to see if they are setup for the retractors. i plan on getting an OEM unit with hardware included. ps- any pics??
  24. zhead240 posted a topic in Interior
my 72z doesn't have retractble belts but it does have the pockets. the loose belt is a pain in the @ss. always digging them out from under the seat , sitting on them and worrying about them hanging out the door. i would like to install the retractable belts, would i have to drill holes to install them? could anyone post pics of their. i would only install retracting part and not the buckle part, is that ok?
