i'm just going to look at this zed, not sure if i'll buy it. it's a little more than i want to spend ($14500 can) but it's low miles (37000) and original owner. maybe i should wait for a earlier zed,but up north pick'ns are prudy slim.

i'm going to look at a 73z with flat top carbs. most 73 have switched to round tops. anybody running flat tops? i was wondering how they perform. do they deserve the bad reputation most people give them? do round top carbs just bolt right in? can i use the 73 intake and linkage? what's a ballpark figure in $ to switch them over.( plus cost of mechanic) thankyou very much in advance.

so what's the trick?

my zed is a 72 and the original key has an oval shape head. also there is no upside down. ( it's like a ford key) you can't put the key in backwards. i though all 240z locks where like mine. these keys for auction have a top and bottom. maybe for a b210 or something, i don't know.

simulated racing is like simulated sex... it's not the same, so i've been told...i don't know.

i saw one on ebay maybe less than a year ago.( the one ond only time i've seen one) i think i bid on it but it went too high. can't remember what it went for. it had white hands.

how do you get there by car?

ed... i'd thought you'd be one not bothered by rain, the way you got your undercarridge bullet proofed with por15. my zed doesn't have any undercoat protection.

i won't drive in the rain but i've almost got caught twice. fortunatly i was close to her climate controlled storage and only got spit on. the pavement was not wet. i know it will eventually happen and hope the trama isn't to bad. getting wet doesn't bother me, it's the spray on the undercarrige that does. if it happens only thing to do is wait for the road to dry and then take her for a fast spin to air dry her out. i was just wondering what other fellow members do when caught in the rain. an i obsessive compulsive or what? putting her away wet not a problem?

when you bought the z, shouldn't the year be on the ownership?( or title )

slave cyl is leaking. the master had black gook in it which i'm told is the seals deterioration. mechanic ordered slave and master from local auto parts store. suppose to be in tomorrow, hope to be on the road again soon. i told him i want to keep the original parts just in case if i ever sell, buyer might want them.

real men drive a manual.women drive autos.

my mechanic is going to check out the problem. if i need a clutch master and slave cylinder, any preference who to buy from? black dragon is a little cheaper than motorsport according to the latest catalog but cost doesn't matter. i want the best parts and service. ( are they the same parts?)

i forgot, this sale happened after reserve not met. never mind.

is anti-seize grease the same as sealant?

can't u use driver mirror and turn it 180 degrees, or is the base angled for driver door?

i always use the hand( emergency)brake in my z, but i never use it in my truck. i lent the truck out, they used the emergency brake and now it's seized and it won't release. any ideas on a quick fix? thankyou very much in advance.

use electrical connector cleaner where the wire connects to the temp sensor first before tearing the dash apart.it's located by the thermostat. also i'm told the sensor is the ground for the wire. if threads are corrodid clean them,put antiseize gunk(not too much) on and be careful not to cross thread sensor when screwing back on. of coarse this is no help if guage is not working.
