it seems 3 gears in the automatic tranny won't reach the 70mph. False, I reach 100mph. At that point it felt good, only a little vibration, so I have to slow it down. Think I can do 110mph, with this automatic, but I'm looking for more, more boost, want to squeak tires, want more control of the gears. I'm gonna drive the auto for a while, make some adjustment and tunning, and then decide. Now I'm shure nothing is wrong with the automatic Zcar. The problem is "not being confortable with what you have". Thank's a lot Zcommunity. This site realy Rock'zzzz

Help! Have a 240Z with L28 engine, the previus owner did the upgrade, wanted to know which type of diferencial the car has. Is it possible to see it from the outside?

I've read a lot of posts on switching from automatic to standad and none viceversa. Is it a bad thing to have an automatic transmision an a 240Z? It's because of poor performance, or do they fail more often. I just bought an automatic 240Z with L28 engine, I want to know how much the automatic tranny is ruin the performance of the L28. I haven't seen a automatic race car in my life, that mean someting I'm not a hard core racing fanatic. but it's more fun driving a standard that's for shure.

Hello Zpeople. I'm a recent 240Z owner, this baby has 40,000 miles on a rebuilt L28 engine with stock SU'S (rounded top) and automatic transmision. Can it be possible to match the performance of a L28 engine with standard transmision and EFI? My previuos Z was a '77 2+2 280 with std. tranny EFI, all stock. That car realy kick butt. The things that I don't like is the long body and big bumpers. Right now the L28 engine with SU'S in my 240z is way behind the performance that I loved of the 77 280z. What can I do to get better results.

Looks like a restored car to me. The six spoke rims are for these baby?
