Watch EBAY Motors or if you get stuck order the ZCAR CD from this website and use NISSMO http://www.nismoparts.com they can get alot of OEM part, I've found them to be very helpful. Also try Victoria-British http://www.victoriabritish.com also very good but on the expensive side I think. There are a number of others but this get you going. I highly recommend you get the ZCAR CD and a Nissan factory service manual. My 2 cents

I used on my 260Z after reading in Wick Humble’s book and researching the Z-Car CD-ROM, 5 – JX14 as they seemed to be the standard. The wheels should be stamped either TOPY MM/YY 4 ½ - J14 or 5 - J14. The Z-Car CD-ROM list them as 4 ½ – JX14 (P/N: 40100-E4400) or 5 – JX14 (P/N 40300-E4400). Standard tire size is 175/70HR-14 standard with 195/70HR-14 a later option but, 185/70HR-14 90Hwill work as well. The H is the speed rating After sandblasting, paint on 240 rims had matt black face and silver on the reverse later rims not sure when were matt black faces with gloss black. Info from Tire Rack website Using a P195/60R15 87S tire size as an example, the 87S at the end of the size represents the tire's service description. A service description identifies the tire's load index and speed rating. Service Descriptions are required on all speed rated (except for Z-speed rated) tires manufactured since 1991. The first two digits (87S) represent the tire's load index and are followed by a single letter (87S) identifying the tire's speed rating. Load Index P195/60R15 87S - The load index (87) is the tire size's assigned numerical value used to compare relative load carrying capabilities. In the case of our example the 87 identifies the tires ability to carry approximately 1,201 pounds. The higher the tire's load index number, the greater its load carrying capacity. 89 = 1,279 pounds 88 = 1,235 pounds 87 = 1,201 pounds 86 = 1,168 pounds 85 = 1,135 pounds Speed Rating Beginning in 1991, the speed symbol denoting a fixed maximum speed capability of new tires must be shown only in the speed rating portion of the tire's service description, such as 225/50R16 89S. The most common tire speed rating symbols, maximum speeds and typical applications are shown below: N 87 mph 140 km/h Temporary Spare Tires P 93 mph 150 km/h Q 99 mph 160 km/h Studless & Studdable Winter Tires R 106 mph 170 km/h H.D. 7. I have a 260z 2+2 air cleaner the same blue as what you discribe and was going to use Dupli-Color DSFM257 Spinnaker Blue but, it didn't look to be a close enough match after I sprayed a sample. Gee's photo gallery has a pic titled My brother's 260z 2+2 with a good picture of the air cleaner and the blue used. Anyone know what the decal might of been?
  8. Looking for info on the 260 air cleaners. Restoring the one we have, plan on upgrading from the flat tops to round tops and keep the original air cleaner, going to use Ztherapy's adapters with TWM Induction air horns. I see what looks likes it at least one decal on it. Anyone know more about them, pics would be great. Thanks, Jim 1974 260Z - RLS30-020697 (01/74)

I've seen both blue and red air cleaners on an early 260. The Blue was on 2+2. My question is, were there any decals on the original early or 74.5 260 air cleaners, any pictures. Both Banzai Motors and Zeddsavers skip over them and don't have any info. By the way I would check out Zeddsaver.com he seems to be very eger to please and to get established. He made a good 1st impression, in the emails we exchanged, he plans to expand his Z decal line and other products in 2005. I'm hoping he'll fill the void MidwestZ left in customer service and parts delivery. Time will tell. Jim Installing 3 screw round top SUs with original air cleaner. Found them at Nismo. :stupid: But seriously, this air cleaner is blue/grey like the 77 air cleaner. Puzzled even confused by it now!

  17. Hi Ed, I checked with VB, MSA and NISMO parts, no luck. I did however, find one on ebay not a bad price it appeared to be in good shape, not new, but usable. Jim
  18. A great find!! Congrats :classic: For what my .02 cents are worth, Sell it as is, its everyones dream to find a Zcar in that great of a condition so few left, especially on the east coast. With the profit you could do almost anything with another Z. But, its your car, your decision. Best of Luck with whatever you decide. Jim 1974 260Z - RLS30-020697 (01/74)

Chris have you gotton a reply from the police? I had the same thought? My son and I hope for the best for Chloe, in the short time we've done business with her, we found her to be a geniuely wonderful person and a super lady to do business with, she seem to care about her customers both old and new, a great deal. Who ever said it, the other Zpart dealers could learn alot from her about customer satisfaction.
