  1. Sounds and looks cool.. Passing on a double yellow... and two cars at that... not cool. :/ Not to sound like an arse but I knew a guy who took out 4 cars passing like that in a 300ZX ... and almost killed one of them.
  2. Mine are on the way... Pics to follow
  3. Exhaust is 2 1/2", header, ANSA tip (burned out now, hence the whistle while idleing)... lopey idle is due to flat top pistons with a .460 lift cam. Since that video, a 60 mm thottle body has been added, ported intake, some other N/A goodies and a Haltech engine management system ..... (just not programed yet) that will solve my rich running like in the video. did you get my last PM ncz ?
  4. http://www.cruez.com/cars/z.wmv Just a quick video of my Z before it went under the knife.....again..
  5. That is one complete write up !! Thanks for putting in the effort to put it all down. I know it takes quite a bit of time to write it all down and take all the pics. Nice job !
  6. My first was a 1964 Dodge Dart convertible.. my friends called it the batmobile I didn't like it.... but it was transportation. In high school, before I got my license, I saw a guy that had a ratted out 240 Z that looks like it needed to be put out of its misery. I fell in love with the way that it sounded... and 6 months or so after driving the Dart, I found my first Z, a '78 280. Some idiot hit me head on and it was totalled..but the engine that was in it is sitting in my present Z. The heart of it still lives on..after 15 years, Its still there
  7. If its where I am thinking, there are two places on each side on the roof, each about 2" long or so that is pieced together. They go perpendicular ro the body. I think that is where the rear portion of the car is put together.
  8. Does it happen to be towards the rear of the car a few inches forward of the hatch ????
  9. If I had the cash to spare... I would love to get my hands on that one... That is one that I would store away.... I would have it parked in a nice climate controlled garage... but still have another one to drive.
  10. holy crap.... yes you should... TWO INCREMENTAL early, early Vin's.. :knockedou How did you manage that... they come as a set?
  11. Is that the one with the latch or button ??
  12. Yup, what he said.. powdercoat them.. but I might be a little biased though
  13. If you decide on the narrowband O2 sensor, try to source a 4 wire heated unit. It will start producing readings much faster than a single or 2 wire unit. I have a Bosch unit sitting on my desk to install with a Haltech ECU run 280 Z. I plan on installing it just after the collector. If you wanted to get a little more precise, you could put 2 in, before the exhaust runs into 2 and get readings on 2 banks.
  14. I believe that was supposed to be for something with the ignition lock. Mine is not connected either. Never has been.
  15. I think that Z finished 6th...
