I was confused at the awards banquette. I don't know if this is a gold cup car because it is modified or if they did away with the cup / medallion thing and this is one of the medallion cars.

This car was an IMSA GTU prepared car with a much higher serial number - HLS30-05236 as I remember. I had the chance to see the underside. The suspension is all all golden cad plated.

Firetruck 2
The 1933 Datsun fire truck belongs to ZCCA Historian, Dan Banks. It was on eBay twice before Dan bought it last winter. It IS a museum piece and it is being very well cared for. It has many AACA awards.

ZCCA judged cars
The car on the left is an original '70 with higher milage. It had stock tires. The yellow one has been very well restored to a very high standard - stock '70. Then Ed's first-in-class, then one of three gold medallions. Ed was in good company all day!

Original unrestored 240Z
Original July 1970 with 23,000 miles. Belongs to a college junior given to him from his grandfather when he passed away. First in class stock 240. I judged it and photo-documented it. The battery has been replaced, the tires have been replaced, and it has a "Midas" replacement muffler system. Otherwise, it is a time piece showing only the wear typical of that mileage. That's an extremely valuable car, in my opinion. Absolute true survivor.
