I was working on rolled stainless steel covers for them, but finishing the ends are a great deal more problematic than I expected. A couple of years ago I made a set of molds for the pieces and actually cast four sets, but with the properties of the castable materials I could find in five gallon containers or less, none of them survived the plating proccess. I'll see if I can't round ta set up and take some pictures and measurements-it wold have to use a small speaker, and the seat belt mechanism would have to be let go, but as a seatbelt anchor, the top of the rear strut it is not at good height on a 240z anyway. Those are not speaker enclosures, they are factory issue seat belt mechanism covers from a 280Z. I'll try to find the PNs for you. Evidently my club cd has been attatcked by a 2 year old, I'll have to get a polishing kit and if it works put up a baby gate!!! Will

The first tank I cleaned out, and the last tank I cleaned started pretty much the same way you have gone. In fact the fuel lines in my roadster were soo bad I used a metal sheethed lawnmower choke cable to get a passage through, I could force the wire through to break uo the crud and then take the wire out and spray carb cleaner down the tube. It took two hours, but I finally got them clean from the engine compartment to the fiel tank- I then blocked off the tank end of the tube and filled the entire tube with carb cleaner and let it soak over night replaceing the fluid the next day, After three days of all day soaking, the fluid came out clean. I didi it one more day for good measure. You may not need a tank-check out the POR15 Gas tank kit or get with your localradiator shop, they can soak and coat the tank and unless it is too far gone rust wise, make it as good as new-though maybe not as pretty! Put a one way valve in the fuel line just ahead of the fuel pump, and it will keep prime(if you install it the right way...) If it doesn't, you probably need to tighten the clams or replace the hoses. Will

I would suggest you get the club CD either on your own or as a present that you will use for longer than any clothing, spa membership, or fruit cake(...ok, the fruit cake may last longer than the club cd). It will give you all of the partnumbers for your car, and exploded diagrams of what goes where-though another invaluable tool is a Factory Service Manual(there are a bunch of them on Ebay right now). If you plan to give the car a tuneup, use the search function to find the best plugs (NGK), oil, and filters, there is a wealth of info in the archives!!!
